    Pros

    Competitive salary, beautiful campus, although located in the very scary Camden, NJ.

    Cons

    Poor leadership, poor culture, no professional development

    Advice to Management

    Get it together. Do away with "good old boys club" and old school mentality. Invest in your people and they will be more dedicated to the company.

    Brand heritage, great peer groups

    Cons

    Management is retail-minded and does not know how to expand into other growth spaces

    Stop installing retail-minded people into foodservice or non-traditional segments

    Pros

    The pay and benefits are real good. I love going to the Company store where you can get discounts on soups.

    Cons

    I have been employed at Campbell Soup for only five months and already looking for another job. There is a lot of favoritism in my department. The plant consists of a lot of temps working. I have had major issues with some of my co-workers because I I got hired from the outside as a permanent Campbell Soup employee and have never tempted. My Supervisor threatened to fire me the first day on the job!! Not kidding!!!!!!

    Advice to Management

    I don't know what it takes to make a Company become successful but you should take complaints seriously. I have always admired and thought well of Campbell Soup until I actually became employed here. Supervisors and Team Leaders should not play favorites and be more open minded. There are two sides to every story!! I have met wonderful people here but this Company is not for me. I will not be mistreated!!

    Pros

    Good pay. Safe working conditions most of the time

    Cons

    Work 7 days per week, 8 to 12 hours per day with few days off in the sauce plant. Very stressful and hot temps in the summer. Chaotic planning from management. Too much control from supervision and management trying to make a name for themselves .

    Advice to Management

    Listen to what employees are saying instead of supervision because they will deceive you . They make a lot of bad political decisions and make paperwork look good etc.

    Pros

    Strong brands, salary, work from home

    Cons

    Regardless of how well you perform, you never know whether you'll have a job from year-to-year because the company lays off large groups of employees regularly. Politics & the old-boy-network thrive at Campbell. Many of the teams run on a skeleton crew. A lot of triplework because the systems don't work properly.

    Listen to the field.

    Pros

    One of the corporate headquarters buildings is new and has a nice cafeteria, gym, and conference rooms.

    Cons

    Management is slow to make any changes. Very top heavy organization. Majority of the HQ facility in Camden is old and outdated. They're shutting down plants because their business is slowly dying and they're not agile enough to make changes to stay competitive.

    Pros

    Pay is somewhat competitive. The company keeps up on payroll.

    Cons

    A lot of favoritism and " good 'old boy" attitude. Pay will be spent keeping up with insurance premiums. Have to fight for fairness on the floor. Claims to be family oriented. Working at 11:00pm Christmas night is not my outlook of family oriented.

    Advice to Management

    Get a grip on your lower management. Less meetings and more production.

    People are generally nice and hard-working
    Good benefits
    Nice facilities

    No vision or strategy...just lots of fire drills
    Risk-averse leadership
    No diversity of people or ideas

    Don't just talk the talk...people can see right through it.
