I worked at Canada Revenue Agency as an intern (less than a year)

    Pros

Supportive colleagues and managers who will help you whenever you need it.
    Coaching and mentoring opportunities.
You will learn a lot about personal tax, CRA's values and the administration.
Weekly employee appreciation events to alleviate stress.
A sense of satisfaction from helping people.

    Cons

It's a call centre environment so expect some difficult callers. This is not a typical customer service job as you will deal with some people with sensitive matters.
This position is not for the very lighthearted due to the stress involved especially during tax season.
Training: more could possibly be spent on practicing interactive scenarios over common issues to improve new hires' confidence before taking calls.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    See above suggestion regarding training.
