    Employees are shareholders

Business Analysis (Former Employee) Calgary, AB (Canada)

ProsStock options on hiring are good. Salaries and benefits are reasonable. Staff are kept busy, and the more you're willing to do, the more you'll be given.

ConsMany of the roles are narrow and deep. Therefore staff get bored and tend to change jobs every few years. It is a command and control company, with the standard share of bullies in management. It is a big company trying to operate like a small one - sometimes it works and frequently causes unnecessary problems.

Anonymous Employee (Current Employee) Calgary, AB (Canada)

    ProsNice people

    Flat Organization Structure
    Honest, hardworking company
You know the VPs, they are usually on the same floor, quire quite personable :-)

ConsBe prepared for long wait times on expense claims, approvals and hiring new staff.
Can't hire top-notch staff because it takes so long. In the meantime, everyone is burning out from waiting.

Advice to Senior ManagementThere are more pluses than minuses at CNRL. Streamline some of your procedures.
I.e. does it make sense to have people line up in the lobby area to get their ticket for a social function? Especially a company this size?
