    Pros

A true meritocracy, you will be rewarded for hard work and dedication. You will be pushed to excel and grow as much as you can, or care to. Reasonably liberal with promotions, it is performance-based only, and not up to a prescribed time at a certain level. Also some truly great people and leaders to learn from and work with.

    Cons

Watch your back. Arrogant, desperado management team has a knack for reminding people they're not valued, while engaging in gross displays of nepotism. Fresh business initiatives are like flavors of the week, are misguided and often the victims of shortsighted management choices that stifle true growth and the very innovation they claim to promote so hard. Parent company FIS remains a strange and vague background presence.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Stop feeding your employees lies about the nature of the business. Sporadic, unstable business growth and decline is the nature of YOUR business, not THE business.

    Pros

Still has many quality people to work with, growing, good international presence, focus on Financial Services provides advantages. High quality clients.

    Cons

Significant dilution of talent and focus after acquisition of many former Bearing Point personnel and sale/partnership with FIS. Significant politics due to Capco v Bearing Point management and executives.

Current Employee - Associate in New York, NY

    Pros

    - Meritocracy
    - Access to employees of all levels in all locations
    - Amicable, modern, clean home office
    - Take great care of employees (benefits, vacation, special occasions)

    Cons

    - Billable projects are poor in quality and quantity; this is HUGE for a consulting firm
    - Area of work within financial services is not as advertised before signing with firm
    - Area of work within financial services is not where largest profits are made
    - Salary is moderately to significantly less in comparison to equivalent position at competitors

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    - Need many more billable projects in middle and front office
    - Length of billable contracts need to be MUCH longer in length

Great vibe, disruptive thinking, but too focused on CapMarkets

Former Employee - Consultant  in  London, England (UK)
Former Employee - Consultant in London, England (UK)

    Pros

    - Great, young, smart workforce
    - Disruptive thinking and creativity very present
    - Some good leaders you can learn from
    - Good reward if you work hard, annual xmas present and massive parties

    Cons

    - Too focused on Capital Markets which makes it difficult for people with Retail Banking/ Digital Channel skill sets to succeed
    - Brand themselves as 'Capco Family', but don't really offer career development, recognised external business accreditation nor consistent coaching and people development
    - Bench Management is awful and very tidious - it's like going back to school. They should rather focus on helping people on the bench to find a role that suits their skill sets

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    - Leadership overall is very poor and not consistent across the various practices
    - People and Family and Inclusive culture is communicated all the time, but in reality it doesn't exist as it's a very 'clique-y' environment where few people say 'Hi' in the morning if they meet on the corridor or happen to sit next to each other in the office
    - There is a clear mis-match between skills Capco is buying externally and projects they can offer once these people with specific skills have joined - this leads to a great amount of dissatisfaction and attrition
