I have been working at Capgemini

    Pros

They have a good payment system for subcontractors via a 3rd party payroll company. Finish your work and file appropriately by Monday and you are paid Friday by direct deposit. There are even a few benefits available if you opt for them when registering. They also withhold all taxes. On the work side, they are generally great people to work with.

    Cons

The 3rd party payroll company takes a little effort to get registered but no worse than others of this type. Work can be sporadic but that's always true of subcontracting.

    Pros

Great people, depending on the practice, business unit the growth across the firm can vary, I was in a high growth practice which meant loads of experience, good bonus, decent increments in base salary. The organization is clearly going in the right direction although it needs to get more aggressive. I had a great Boss

    Cons

All the typical negatives of consulting, constant travel, work life balance. Capgemini does not pay as well as some of the other big five audit firms, but still overall is a highly recommended

    Advice to Management

Be more aggressive while chasing opportunities
HR function needs to be more pro active in employee management
Some of the india centric policies are detrimental to the employee satisfaction
