    I worked at Capgemini

    Pros

    Benefits and compensation is good.

    Cons

Horrible Middle Management. Most of the PMPs have no clue about Project Management -they are not aware of basic SDLC. A complete mess. No growth opportunities. Most of the managers are busy taking credit for the work done by their team members.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Clean up the middle level incompetent managers.

    Pros

cant think of much at this moment

    Cons

Replace experienced people with college grads who know nothing about the business just to save margin and looks good (more ppl on the team). The management group has gone down hill compare with few years ago.

    Cons

No promotions to be expected. No matter what you do :) . False promises. Will do it tomorrow attitude. No straight forward answers. Shady policies

I have been working at Capgemini

    Pros

Benefits, mostly. Cant think of any other redeeming factor. If you are an entry-level guy, this might be a good place. Just might.

    Cons

Too numerous to recount. Inept VP's, who actually believe they can get away with H1B-style BS and who are firmly convinced that 90's era management style is the winning style of today. Get these guys some decent training on how business is done in the US.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Get some talent with professional, all-round, local-market work experience, instead of hiring half-cooked know-it-all's, and expats who bring in the work ethos of a pirate ship desperate for quick bounty.

I have been working at Capgemini full-time (more than an year)

    Pros

You can travel, get hotel points, and frequent flyer miles.

    Cons

The training program is horrendous. The work they have you do is mind-numbing, allowing for zero creativity. Employees are worked over 12 hour days and weekends without a choice. Management is unwelcoming and not helpful.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Completely change your training program, actually pay for real trainers. Allow your employees to be creative and not forced to follow strict methodology that is inefficient. Reward employees on their actual work produced and not just the amount of hours put in.

I have been working at Capgemini full-time (more than 5 years)

    Pros

If you can stand the awful people they have in VP leadership positions then the benefits are decent.

    Cons

Too many to mention but they treat employees like assets instead of human beings. If you spend longer than 30 days on the bench then your next move is likely to be let go.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

You have some really poor managers at the VP level who treat their staff extremely poorly, the Atlanta location is a prime example.

    Pros

Large company, possible to move around, wide range of industries

    Cons

On call 24 hour, application management/installation not development, development is done offshore. Company structure not clearly defined and services were not worth what client was paying.

I have been working at Capgemini full-time (less than an year)

    Pros

There are good people here, stuck in bad jobs. Corporate communications are very good and thorough.

    Cons

Management does not communicate, and there is no sense of organization. Daily operations go from one fire drill to another. They do not have a good pipeline for new hires, and sometimes hire under qualified people out of desperation. They're also fairly dishonest in the sales process, claiming experience and expertise that they don't have.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Learn to do business with integrity, both internally and externally.
