    Pros

There is a lot of flexibility to work either from home or at the client site. 4 weeks of Time off.

    Cons

The budget for Training to enhance your skills is scarce. One has to get trained on their own. Personal Internal team building is a challenge because of the kind of business we are in (Geographical spread).

    Pros

Capgemini has a great workforce with intelligent, talented resources. They allow and encourage you to move up at your own pace. They bid on challenging projects that really motivate their teams to deliver difficult implementations.

    Cons

Work life balance can be difficult with traveling and other demands faced on critical IT projects. Difficult to meet sales KPIs while also meeting delivery/billed utilization metrics.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Invest in growing resources. Take a more personal interest in mentoring the younger generation.

    Pros

I worked with a lot of smart, motivated, friendly people. I sill stay in touch with several colleagues, it was hard for me to leave the company.

    Cons

Because much of their revenue comes from Europe (where the economy stinks), raises were minimal and budgets were tight because the US needed to make up for Europe's struggles. Also, technology skills of most consultants were good, but a bit behind the curve (not terribly cutting edge).

    Pros

Open to change, always trying to innovate and bring new value. Always trying to stay ahead. Survival of the fittest.

    Cons

Sometimes chaotic. Can be hard to understand what success looks like. Often the client appears to be your manager so can be hard to see where Capgemini fits in.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Have a better system for knowing who are your most talented people and manage them differently to others. Use special assignments to test and compare high potentials, rather than relying to much on personal relationships.
