    Pros

Great people, depending on the practice, business unit the growth across the firm can vary, I was in a high growth practice which meant loads of experience, good bonus, decent increments in base salary. The organization is clearly going in the right direction although it needs to get more aggressive. I had a great Boss

    Cons

All the typical negatives of consulting, constant travel, work life balance. Capgemini does not pay as well as some of the other big five audit firms, but still overall is a highly recommended

    Advice to Management

Be more aggressive while chasing opportunities
HR function needs to be more pro active in employee management
Some of the india centric policies are detrimental to the employee satisfaction

    Pros

They have a variety of clients and industries to work for, so you won't get bored if you don't like a particular project. They offer good benefits, vacation and 401K profit sharing. They do a good job of having quarterly connect events to allow you to network with other colleagues you wouldn't normally see.

    Cons

If you live in the DC area, then you will most likely have to travel to your client every week. The forced ranking system at the end of the year is not very fair if you are supporting a smaller project and don't have exposure to more of the upper management.

    Advice to Management

It is great when the senior management spends time visiting the various project sites to meet the lowly consultants and senior consultants in their town hall meetings.

    Pros

Got involved in many different kind of projects that helped expand the breadth and depth of expertise in many areas.

    Cons

Tactical management style for most parts, without a strong vision and strategy to invest in growth areas and in people.

    Advice to Management

Rethink whether to play in the market based on cost versus differentiation; spend more time, money and effort in developing talent and marketing the brand.
