I have been working at Capillary Technologies full-time (less than an year)

    Pros

I decided to write this review because as soon as I see something positive for this company, there is a bunch of some frustrated ex-employees (possibly fired :D) who post a negative one, claiming that the positive ones are fake. So, I wanted to write an ultimate review for Capillary Technologies, in which I can pour out my exact experience. I have been working with Capillary for over 6 months now. I have seen many negative fake reviews on Glassdoor which claim that the positive ones are fake. Well, here is a summation of the things, which I have gone through in the past 6 months. It has been a very positive experience, however; learning is great in the initial phase, but may become stagnant after a year or 2. It all depends on how much you want to explore. In terms of career growth, I would rate it as neutral in terms of promotion and good in terms of appraisals. Obviously, it is not an ultimate destination for those who have high dreams and desires, but definitely it is absolutely worth to have the starting phase of your career in this company! It is like a stepping stone to future exploration.

    1. Simply awesome work culture and environment. Timings are very flexible, all that matters is your work should be done on time.
    2. There would be days when you may need to work hard or spend more time in the office, but that's totally cool because it's a part of professional life.
    3. It is absolutely awesome place to work especially if you are a fresher.
    4. Infrastructure and facilities for employees are improving day by day. The HR team is really doing very great, hats off to them!
    5. They celebrate every significant festival/occasion and event... To give an example, we have numerous footballs and jerseys all through the office in order to celebrate the zeal and heat of FIFA worldcup
    6. They have an Xbox 360 installed on the top floor :D
    7. You get a mini CCD and a Cafeteria and tons of other discount perks!!
    8. Most important, there are really a very very smart group of people running this company. They know what they are doing, they have the funds, all they look at now is expansion and scalability!!!
    9. For a first job, it is amongst the coolest startup emerged companies, where the startup culture has been preserved!
    10. Nice ambiance and chill environment in the office. Frequent parties and celebrations :D
    11. In addition to your department specific skillset, you get to learn tremendous stuff about market, business.
    12. Very smart group of people from IITs, IIMs, ISB and NITs are working together. So, there's always an healthy, intellectual and "classy fun" (if you know what i mean) :P environment.

    Cons

    1. Based on the team you are assigned, your work load and learning experience may vary.
    2. People complain that it is somewhat biased towards IIT Kgp, well yes that's true. But that's their company and their foundation institute and people whom they recruit are very smart, so there shouldn't be any problem. All one needs to focus upon is self growth rather then comparing himself with other people.
    3. You got to pay for lunch. If that gets free, then I guess it would become an absolutely ultimate place to work.
    4. They are very specific in their work, so work may get repetitive, but there is always a scope to learn new skills and implement them straightaway to your work . In fact if you have an idea or a thing to discuss upon, you can straightaway got to the higher management and talk about it.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    1. Training sessions on the use of SAS and R in analytics should be conducted properly.
    2. Food!!! Just like the mini CCD, make the food free or at least if you are charging, then it should be of good quality.
    3. Rest all, you are doing very good, keep up the good work!

I have been working at Capillary Technologies full-time (more than an year)

    Pros

Great work life balance. I am very happy to be part of this company.
I have never felt negative stress. Yes work is there because I am here to work.
Every morning including Monday mornings I feel like coming to office, that is how I measure my job satisfaction level :)
    Very supportive management team.
Company's Vision, Mission & Values are nicely set even nicely communicated and explained to employees by Aneesh.
Company is doing great and is in transition phase from a start-up to MNC hence we see lot of changes happening across the organization. I believe "Change is the spice of life" and no one likes to accept changes in the first place but after some years they realize that it was for our & companies good and we start liking it.

    Cons

In my tenure till now I have never felt anything negative/dissatisfied about my my job, my manager, my colleagues.
4th floor after renovation is amazing & classy however would suggest if we can move to some big premises where both the floor employees can sit together, it would be more fun.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

In my previous companies (I have worked in start-ups), I have never seen top management being so frank and transparent about communicating anything related to company matters. They are putting a lot of effort to take company to the next level.
    Good Luck !!

    Pros

Lots of autonomy in work. You get to decide what is good for product. Lots of product focus. They take focus on the customer seriously. Technology and engineer-driven culture where they aim to solve tough problems, not a lot of gimmiky product work going on.
Get to work with CEO, CTO of the company. Learn insights on how the product are made. Opportunity of seeing different life cycle of product development.

    Cons

Intial phase has steep learning curve but its quite worth the effort.
