    Pros

Starting compensation is good. Benefits are great. Managers know you by name.

    Cons

It's very much a call center. Work is redundant and uninteresting. There's very little opportunity for advancement. Promotions seem to be handed to certain individuals despite being offered to "everyone eligible."

    Advice to Management

Just call the business what it is, a call center. That way, new hires won't be shocked when they get to the floor.

    Pros

The core values are the basis for many of the decisions within the company

    Cons

The company will hire from outside even when there are qualified associates within the company

    Pros

Clean offices, nice coworkers, cafe on site

    Cons

Required overtime is out of control, morale is low as ever, incompetent team managers do nothing but micromanage their day away, development only for certain associates

    Advice to Management

Get some people that have a clue and fire work management

    Pros

CG does have an excellent benefits package, Good pay, nice office facilities, parking garage (nice in the San Antonio summer), and I really enjoyed the working relationship with most of the people there.

    Cons

Experiencing growing pains (medium becoming large company), business infrastructure under constant development, frequent changes to everyday processes. And it's a privately held company behaving like a public one with too much emphasis on the bottom line. (My employment was discontinued along with 40 other people so that upper management could reach a goal presented to the board, regardless of the fact that we had plenty of work to do and the company was under no financial distress)

    Advice to Management

I've said this before: in three to five years, many of the positions that were outsourced, either onshore or offshore, will be brought back to CG as full-time positions, but they'll be new people, which will introduce a (yet another) cycle of productivity lag while they ramp up to an effective level.

    Pros

Everyone is an expert with what they do and is very helpful when asked, well not all, but the majority will help.

    Cons

I heard since they had the layoffs, others are afraid to speak up, leaving the contractors/consultants to fend for themselves. Communication lacks between depts. esp during a lot of internal changes. There's a disconnect from dept to dept. They see it, but they don't talk to each other to resolve it. It's a reactive vs proactive environment. Everyone's so busy to be the change.

    Advice to Management

Upper mgmt need to hire new faces and experiences who have seen outside of CG then ask for answers within CG of those who worked there 15+yrs.
