    Pros

The medical benefits are pretty good if you are someone that does not have a lot of medical problems. The yearly incentive for managers can be several thousand dollars. Most front line managers are starting to get laptops. You also get 401k matching, tuition reimbursement, discounted stock, and a decent amount of vacation time.

    Cons

Managers rarely get praise and recognition for their work. Promotions usually go to those who fit a particular mold or who are good friends with upper management. You have to live at work to get a decent yearly bonus. They are all about numbers and less about customer service and doing the right thing. They will skip on making on process right if they can tweak it for cheap.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Let's invest in making processes that are as fail-proof as possible. This will ultimately cost us less money down the line. Managers need more praise and recognition opportunities.

I have been working at Capital One Auto Finance

    Pros

The work life balance is much better than some of the other places. Again, it is true for some roles than the others.

    Cons

There is no growth opportunity at this point in Capital One Auto Finance. The promotion process is not based on competency but based on how many after work happy hours you attend.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

The company grew so fast that you could not maintain the original culture. There is still time to take notice of the depth of the iceberg below the calm looking waters.

I have been working at Capital One Auto Finance

    Pros

It is easy to become employed through a temporary agency. When you are hired it is a good environment and the payscale is about average. The people are very nice and there are a lot of positions to be considered for. The cafeteria has good food and there are several places to eat alone. The security is great and safety is not going to be a problem there. The parking lot seems to be secure and I have not seen any car theft. The restrooms are cleaned frequently and the toiletries are always well-stocked. They have free tea and coffee.

    Cons

It takes a long time to become a permanent employee. I have seen people work a year or more as a contractor before being offered a permanent position. There are too many contractors that come and go. Training is not thorough and it takes forever to get started working on your assignment. In the meantime you feel as if they don't need you there and keep waiting for work to be given to you to fill the days. I would not recommend that someone go to work as a contractor for them if they are driven to work hard. I

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Hire your contract workers sooner if they are performing well. This will prevent them from moving on to other companies.
