    Pros

Excellent Employee Culture and Work like balance. Good Benefits and lots of employee perks. Would return in a heartbeat if opportunity arose.

    Cons

Promotion process was not clear (at least in my case). Free personal trainers at fitness center were always booked (yeah its a small thing).

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Weed out the bad middle managers. Continue on your path to success and make the promotion process more transparent.

    Pros

Great people from top to bottom! Work environment is low stress with a great work-life balance.

    Cons

Culture of analytics can lead to very slow decision making process, with expectations that technologists can run extremely fast after spending 7 to 12 months slicing and dicing the data.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Stop focusing on the small stuff and think/act broadly.

I worked at Capital One Auto Finance

    Pros

Capital One had great incentive programs to help motivate funders to be more productive. If you like to work in an environment that strive on collaborate team work, this is a place for you.

    Cons

Although there were incentive programs for performance, sometimes the work load was unmanageable. High turn over as Capital One Auto Finance likes to hire contractors.

    Pros

Pay, benefits, overall advancement opportunities, culture is awesome, great values and most management live the corporate values.

    Cons

Frequent leadership changes, occasional inconsistent management decisions.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Don't try to change something if it isn't broken and if something is changed, make it better for the customer and associates. Utilize talent where available

I worked at Capital One Auto Finance full-time (less than a year)

    Pros

The pros were the extensive training and the ability to work independently with no supervision as well as with a team. I believe my outstanding drive, loyalty to the company, and an impeccable work ethic allowed me to shine as a terrific asset to the company. My co-workers and upper management thoroughly impressed me with their knowledge and willingness to make sure we all strived to the best of our abilities.

    Cons

I would have to say the most dissatisfaction I felt with the Capital One team was the lack of promotions throughout the company. With such an enormous turn over rate, instead of letting hard working employees move up in the company, move them to another department where they can benefit the company the best way fit, instead were let go.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

My advise to the company would be to screen managers a bit more in detail. I do not listen to gossip but from training on, was told my manager was the newest and was never around. Being in management before, I knew some people not might quite understand all the duties the manager has and felt with all the negativity surrounding the situation, my best interest was to focus on work and not make opinions on what others have said. It's nor professional nor beneficial to production and team morale.

    Pros

The compensation is actually on the lower side of the competition. Aside from that, the benefits are great and the company itself is always striving for change which can keep it interesting.

    Cons

There is high turnover in collections and the atmosphere isn't the best.

    Pros

This is a very employee oriented company. There are a lot of opportunities to move up quickly. Great work-life balance. Great benefits and work culture.

    Cons

The salary is not the best when compared with competitors (other banks). There are not many opportunities with this company outside of Texas and Virginia.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Continue to allow employees the opportunity to grow and maintain a positive culture within the company.

    Pros

Puts an emphasis on hiring smart people - definitely leans to more mathematical intelligence than interpersonal/innovation.

    Cons

Very model driven to the extent that other opportunities for improvement or gap identification are missed
