I have been working at CapitalSource full-time

    Pros

Entrepreneurial atmosphere, strong management team that knows how to let people do their thing, good comp and benefits though benefits declined a bit after PWB merger. Still acts and feels like a small company even though it is a $15B bank now.

    Cons

Burdens of being a federally regulated financial institution are annoying and can get in the way of doing good work, but it is not much of a detractor. Could use some formal training resources.

    Pros

Everyone is very friendly and wiling to help out. It is a very casual environment without much stress. There is also free catered lunch every day and a nice array of snacks available at all times, along with a gym and locker room.

    Cons

Not very fast-paced, or much excitement, if you're seeking a challenging job.
