Former Employee – worked at Capstone Turbine full-time for more than 3 years
Pros – The company finds a way to keep on going despite never having made a profit. The product is fantastic and needs to find its way into the market to be successful.
Cons – The company has not made a profit and does too many different configurations instead of doing a few very well and is always chasing the sale instead of making a consistent product
Advice to Senior Management – Management is too lenient with sales and is always making engineering then purchasing play catch up. Need to narrow down catalog offerings and stop special orders unless down payment, minimum quantity and reasonable times are stipulated.
No, I would not recommend this company to a friend – I'm not optimistic about the outlook for this company

Former Employee – worked at Capstone Turbine
Pros – Good perks, benefits and wage. Employees get time off during major holiday. The place is closed to major bus line and train station.
Cons – Executive move in and move out of CFO position. What was going on? The company does not make any gross income and yet does not keep an eye on its costs.
Advice to Senior Management – I think you guys are hiding something. Instead of changing executives all the time, why not get the right people in the first place.

Former Employee – worked at Capstone Turbine
Pros – Pay was reasonable, good benefits, enjoyed shut down with pay at end of the year. For the most part co-workers were friendly.
Cons – Lack of management in communicating to employees, not taking the time to get to know them. Mgmt seemed more concerned about themselves when it came to raises, bonuses. Even rewarding those that did not perform. Lacks planning.
Advice to Senior Management – Take the time to get to know your employees before making decisions that will affect them. Understand the total picture before moving ahead. LISTEN TO YUOUR EMPLOYEES!
