    I have been working at CareSource full-time (less than an year)

    Pros

    Benefits are good, four weeks vacation in the first year. Health insurance is average. Great ongoing staff education program and continuing college education plan.

    Cons

    Working a startup office in Kentucky for a company who failed to analyze the market and were unsuccessful promoting the product. Miscalculated the other MCO's vying for market share and lost over half the original membership within four months. Expected the case management staff to fix this problem on the back end by assigning additional job responsibilities normally covered by a team of five. Culture and values of the corporate office are not reflected in the new Kentucky office.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    Be honest during the interview process. Potential hires base their salary on the position offered.

    Pros

    good benefits, lots of ground-floor opportunity - a work in progress. Work environment has improved over the past year.

    Cons

    Downtown location, somewhat below-average salaries, bi-polar management, immature or non-existent processes, clunky infrastructure, poor work-life balance

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    move into the 21st century - more flexible work schedules and relax the telecommuting policy. Show more respect for employees' work/life balance. Hire enough employees to handle the constant shifting, bipolar priorities that change daily. Learn to PLAN instead of just knee-jerk reacting.

    Pros

    Very supportive environment. Good work-life balance. Most managers and directors seem to be highly intelligent, caring individuals. Great facilities- brand new first-class building in Dayton, with excellent on-site restaurant, and solid (free) fitness facilities. Free parking Expanding by leaps and bounds. Very supportive of self-improvement and education. Exceptional on-site training. Excellent mentoring program.

    Cons

    Limited upward mobility in many non-clinical areas. Some lack of internal discipline, largely due to exceptionally fast growth. Can be somewhat short-staffed in certain areas, thus increasing stress on remaining staff.
