I have been working at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center full-time (more than 3 years)

    Pros

Calm and relax. this is the perfect place to work if you want to have a balanced life. They let you have a couple of remote days per week. The managers trust you and don't bother you. As long as you delivered when you have committed, you are ok. Compensation is fair.

    Cons

No room to grow professionally. If you don't care about promotions, or raises then you are fine. Perfect if you have already reached your desired place in life. If you are hungry for advancement, then learn as much as you can and in a couple of years find somewhere else to work.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Let employees rotate among teams, so they can learn more aspects of the business. This would make employees more excited about working there. The routine of doing everyday the same tasks makes everything monotonous.

I have been working at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center

    Pros

Amazing hospital with a lot of potential to learn.. Depending on what department you work for.

    Cons

Poor management!!!! At least in our department, nobody was on the same page or had the same answer for any work related questions.. Most departments used a phrase " a jack of all trades but a master at none" this place is constantly changing which can be good for some...

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    Get it together! Seriously!!!

I have been working at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center full-time (more than 5 years)

    Pros

The pay is good and the benefits are okay.

    Cons

While trying to get a promotion or transfer to another department is hard because usually they already have someone in mind and post job opportunities because they have to - to satisfy the legal requirements of hiring. There is still favoritism it's all about who you know.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Management should take into consider that because they believe in the fair practice of others and the mission statement, but the management underneath does not; they say one thing and do another.
