    Pros

Your income potential is truly dependent upon your own efforts. You do indeed have the opportunity to make a lot of money here. Schedule flexibility once you have gotten out of your "new-hire" phase. In general all coworkers are very helpful and your back-office, and upper management support their sales reps.

    Cons

Point of sale systems seem to be outdated. The sales process, in my opinion, takes entirely too long. Not for everyone. Don't look for too much hand holding. If you want the type of income that will afford you a new boat...you have to go get it!

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Automate inventory system. Continue to work to maintain competitive with our "competition". A lot of emphasis is placed on service as it should be, however being able to provide a quality product at the price of our competitor is also an important element.

You are fighting a battle based on their price advantage vs. our people/service advantage. The cultural climate is sadly changing to the point that money(price) is valued over service.

    Pros

Cellularsales (SG market) will do everything they can to make you successful. The atmosphere in this market is like a big family. Very rare to find a place to work like that. Its is pretty remarkable.

    Cons

Only con is Verizon itself. Cellularsales does an awesome job of getting what we need to be successful, but Verizon is a very greedy company that only worries about its share holders. So as reps we are always fighting Verizon for our customers and for our pay.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

The SG market management is on point right now. Keep up the great work. Hopefully others markets can follow SG's lead and have their sales people act more like friends and family so they work better together.

    I worked at Cellular Sales

    Pros

Cellular Sales is sensitive to the needs of their employees culturally. Friendly atmosphere.

    Cons

Because of their focus on the cellular industry, priorities can change quickly. Sometimes this creates frustation in their teams.

I have been working at Cellular Sales full-time (less than a year)

    Pros

The people that I work with are top notch and the wages are based exclusively on your ability to sell. Work harder and you'll be rewarded with a bigger paycheck. The pay is commission based.

    Cons

The market that I work in is a little tough to sell in because of the average salary in the area. Charge-backs are always an issue for sales people but they are remedying the issue with Verizon's EDGE program

I have been working at Cellular Sales full-time (more than a year)

    Pros

No micro managing, great commission on sales. average reps make 5k a month.

    Cons

Travel to many different stores in an area. Commissions are hard to follow when they are actually paid. You don't get paid what you see on the board.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Make the pay easier to follow and stop with the shady business.

I have been working at Cellular Sales full-time (more than 3 years)

    Pros

For one the schedule flexibility helps maintain a good work/life balance. If you want to work a lot then you can pick up extra shifts, but if you want a few days off you can have them covered relatively easy.

The opportunity to make money is in your hands. The harder you work, the more you make. I have not worked a sales job that was this easy, and made the same money.

Work / Life Balance. You can maintain a healthy work / life balance because of the flexible schedule, and ability to work from a mobile laptop.

Never a dull day. The schedule moves you between local stores every day, so the job doesn't get stagnant.

    Cons

If you don't push yourself to reach out to customers you will not do well. This job is not for people that want to be "glorified clerks". This job is for people that like to make money, earn money, and want to get paid for the work they put in. If you don't like pushing yourself to be better than this isn't the job for you.
Very little room for job advancement. As a 100% commission job, reps (aside from team leaders) all have the same position.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

The company may benefit from having more internal promotions, or interviews. The teams have so much untapped talent that could be utilized in other areas.

I have been working at Cellular Sales

    Pros

You get out what you put in. If you are didicated and build a relationship with your customers, they can become your forever clients. It's like any job, if you work hard you reap the benefits.

    Cons

First 60 days in the negative due to paying back "draw". Returns, deactivations, theft is taken out of employees pay. "Slackers" ride off the backs of the hard working sales reps.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Option of being paid an hourly dollar amount OR your commission. Which ever one is the higher dollar amount.

I have been working at Cellular Sales full-time (more than 3 years)

    Pros

This company is a sales job not a clerk job and that is what I was told 4 yrs ago and have enjoyed working here. The uncapped commission is what I like the most. If you put the work in you can make great money. The people that do not work out are clerks. If your a sales rep you can make great money if you put in the work

    Cons

Taking time off for a vacation can be tough, if you take a week off for a vacation there is no vacation pay but I was told that from the beginning so you just have to plan right.
