Really excited to continue my career here

    Anonymous Employee (Current Employee)

ProsGreat Benefits, good pay, great co workers, successful stock, World Head Quarters in my home town, global company with the oppurtunity to travel to new places, and the flexability to work from home at times.

ConsIt's a very large company which can be overwhelming at times, It's hard to explain to others what i do, and most of our clients require some travel to visit.

Advice to Senior ManagementBe careful not to overlook post graduate education or overvalue 10+ years within the same company. New ideas or experience can be helpful

    Great people.

    Anonymous Employee (Current Employee)

ProsThey have an organized training program that helps you to go through the company process and it would give any person an idea on how things are done.

ConsI would recommend individuals the choice to pick teams in the beginning of the career rather than the other way around.

    Hours vary by organization

Solutions Architect (Current Employee) Kansas City, MO

ProsIt's a common misconception that all of Cerner works a crazy amount hours. In the organization I work in, I rarely work over 43 hours. Career advancements are supported if desired and hard work recognized.

ConsMy organization is very numbers based and the desired metrics are constantly changing. If you are not on a good team the work can be very tiresome and you might burn out.

    Big company with good perks

Business Analyst (Former Employee) Kansas City, MO

ProsAt Cerner there are a lot of opportunities to learn and grow because of all the different business groups and projects that are going on. If you are unsure of your desired path, this can be a good place to test a few different rolls out and gain valuable tech skills. It also offers great benefits like an amazing workout facility, health benefits, etc.

ConsIt is a very big company and things do have a tendency to move slow in some groups.

Advice to Senior ManagementAs a business analyst I always liked being exposed to groups outside of my own, so keep that up. Also, it is important to explain the role that the new analyst's work plays in the scheme of things, because as a young employee it is hard sometimes to see their value add.

Yes, I would recommend this company to a friend
