    One of the best companies I ever worked for.

    + Highly employee oriented HR policies

    + Does not play the blame game
    + Can-do attitude

    Cons- Red tape
    - some politics
    - slow to change direction

    Experience as a technical velocity intern at Cerner

    Technical Velocity Intern (Current Employee) Kansas City, MO

    Pros-Very good benefits for interns (housing, travel, etc)
    -Almost half a day per week of fun team building events (bowling, high and low rope, etc)
    -Management very receptive to intern's feedback

    Cons-Very limited customer facing opportunities as an intern (most work was for internal teams)
    -Relatively lower pay compared to other software engineering internships
    -Very little flexibility for working hours and locations

    ProsChallenging work and all the opportunities you are willing to earn. Large international presence and if you have a desire to see the world you'd have a good chance with Cerner. Also a highly respected company in KC and the industry

    ConsMinimal training, there are plenty of chances to learn and expand but you have to seek them out yourself, they will not be given to you or thrown in your lap.
