    Pros

The people are great, and the environment is very relaxed while still being productive. Moving up in this company is completely possible and I have witnessed numerous colleagues moved up in the rankings of the company. I am confident that this company will continue to grow.

    Cons

The pay is a little low and the facility is a little bit out of the way from the Atlanta area, but other than the pay the environment more than makes up for the compensation.

    Pros

    Interesting products and work environment
    Wide variety of industries served
Many career paths available regardless of starting position (sales, engineering, management, manufacturing, etc.)
    Good benefits and compensation

    Cons

Work/life balance is not very good in certain departments

    Advice to Management

Focus more on work/life balance for your direct reports. Some managers are out of touch with their direct reports.

    Pros

Stable company for growth in most of the business units. Global manufacturing presence to help expand products and stability in most markets. Buys up the competition, good technology and quality of product, dedicated and satisfied customers.

    Cons

Runs with big internal systems but too many non value added processes and people bring it down. Lacking cohesive effort between departments. Under compensated and under valued for all the hours that are required to be worked for most dedicated salary people. Long term vision in some areas is poor, bad business decisions are paid for by lay-offs and closings.

    Pros

People take care of you during initial periods to make sure that all is set. All the necessary data was given to me on time so that my work wasn't interrupted any where. Also I was given the freedom to take few decisions on my own.

    Cons

The compensation could have been much higher when compared to the work involved. The work was repetitive and the quantum of work was huge.

    Pros

Chart has been on an expansion track for year and seems well positioned for the future.

    Cons

Manufacturing managers tend to micro manage instead of letting their qualified people do what they are best at. Get in the "Good Old Boys Club" you could have a job for life. If you don't like playing politics you may not like it.

    Advice to Management

Get rid of the favoritism by management. Keep the best qualified.

    Pros

Constantly changing to make it a great place to work. Very employee oriented. Really care about their employees and their safety. Trying to be socially responsible and eliminate waste and hazards. Likes to have fun give back to the community and give employees a balanced life. They really listen. I work in Tulsa but have met lots of employees in Chart and they are so nice.

    Cons

We work in a plant environment that is open to the weather elements and dust but in the last two years it has greatly improved.

    Advice to Management

Keep listening to your employees and engaging them in decisions

    Pros

You are challenged in your position. The company has a solid strategic direction. Pay is market for the region/location. Great people. Strong leadership.

    Cons

The company is broken out into three divisions and often times each business will act as a silo versus reaching out to understand how things are done across the company.

    Advice to Management

Communication is key to aligning employees and more communication is necessary.
