    Pros

Good benefits package and at a low cost. Tuition reimbursement.

    Cons

We bid on new shifts every 4-6 months. We are told that our ranking is based on performance and seniority but yet a woman who abuses her FMLA and is only at work 4-5 days per month has a higher shift bid ranking than a man who takes double the calls and is there every day rain or shine and who has worked there for years over this woman. So what they say and what they do are so different it is laughable.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Attitude towards employees. Some management has terrible mood swings and takes it out on others. Some management can be very condescending in their tone and attitude. There is definitely a superior attitude amongst management towards their employees.

    Pros

You make your own schedule. No micro-managing. Great paying when everything works properly.

    Cons

This company is very unorganized and behind the times when it comes to technology and efficiency. The techs are always screwing up installs and there's no way for you to know unless you call every customer to make sure your sale went through. They lie and tell you that you have a 5 day work week when you get hired but they try to force you to work every Saturday.

If you don't like working in extreme weather conditions do not apply.

    Pros

Telecom is a must for many people. Therefore, the products tend to sell themselves. Relatively competitive pricing. Decent commission plan. Free service (I.e., TV, Internet and phone).

    Cons

Management team is insufficient. This is not to say that there are not enough of them but rather that the effort put forth is lacking.

    Pros

Base pay is good for a position that also pays commission. Free cable services are the best perk. Hard to take work home with you as no access to company sites from non Charter computer.

    Cons

Constantly changing commission scales. Departments do not work together, many times having to search or wait long periods to get answers to questions. Little advancement in local store setting.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Stop changing commission structure so frequently. Give more advancement opportunities and help departments work together instead of against each other.
