    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Have open forum meeting with employees. Let issues be brought in the open without fear of recourse. Stop saying "Get it done" and start helping your employees have the knowledge and tools to perform.

I worked at Charter Communications full-time (more than an year)

    Pros

Commission checks, employee benefits on site and insurance benefits, many different set schedules to fit around school, lots of opportunity for advancement.

    Cons

Once let go, you can never work for the company again! I was let go for "occurrences/missing work/tardiness." After sending my to the E.R. which resulted in my having to take time off, my supervisor fired me for not being at work although I had medical excuses. No one in Human resources would give me the time of day to explain what happened and to prove myself, therefore I became a Human Resources Recruiter/ Coordinator at a different company so that I could ensure their employees were treated respectfully and fairly.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Do not fire your employees because they will not date you!

    Pros

Great benefits package including free cable, internet and phone

    Cons

Very stressful, hard to balance work and family

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Your employees have day to day life responsibilities that sometimes require them to come in late, leave early or take an entire day off. Try to be more understanding of this and don't make them feel like they're going to lose their jobs if they ask for time off.
