I have been working at Chevron full-time for more than a year
Pros – safety conscious, integrity in business
Cons – Big business climate of fear and sameness in personalities of employees
Advice to Senior Management – You can't tell employees to "be creative" while they live and work in a very restrictive environment
– I'm optimistic about the outlook for this company

I have been working at Chevron full-time for more than 10 years
Pros – Use a very dilligent approach and its mechanism. Allows a visible thinking on 'solution' alternatives generation for any identified project.
Cons – Some of double dipping activities / documents to be generated. Too many project meetings!
Advice to Senior Management – Conduct project management review for minimizing the unecessary activities

I have been working at Chevron full-time for more than a year
Pros – If you like to pay rent and groceries, it will do.
Cons – Having to call 911 at least monthly for various offences including passing counterfeit money, shoplifting, malicious damage to property, unwanted guest (will not leave premises). This does not including people pointing fingers under their hoodies at you and others threatening to get you fired when they don't get free gas or win the lotto, etc. Schedules changes are unpredictable.
Advice to Senior Management – Share some of the wealth, eh?

I have been working at Chevron
Pros – Good culture overall. Pay not as good as other companies but happy to have a jov at this time period.
Cons – Hardly any opportunity to move up as a contractor. Batchelor is a must if you plan on getting a job here.

I have been working at Chevron
Pros – Great benefits. Pension 401K and excellent compensation. Good work experience if you work in Upstream. Plenty of opportunities in USA and overseas. Good training program in Horizons. I wasn't a big fan of relocation and I ultimately wanted to go into working in the refinery in Downstream.
Cons – Not very open to employees moving around in business units. Business unit I worked for was a black hole for employees. Also, employees are marked with a black tag if you refuse to move to where the company needs you. Even if your transparent about your personal needs, the end goal is the company's profit.
Advice to Senior Management – Help employees develop career in where they want to go as opposed on focusing on just company profit. Be reasonable in determining where to reassign employees.

I have been working at Chevron
Pros – Excellent safety culture, large corporation with many job opportunities, management encourages work/life balance, global company that embraces diversity, Chevron Way - documented company philosophy for how to conduct business and work with others
Cons – Too many processes and procedures, knowledge transfer skills are lacking, resources can be difficult to acquire at times (do more with less mentality), training could be improved
Advice to Senior Management – With an aging work force, it is going to be important for Chevron to invest in strategic hiring, transfer of knowledge, and onboarding/training of new employees.
