Being a professional in any field is a challenge and rewarding. Sports and business have very strong parallels.

Professional Baseball Player (Current Employee)

I have been working at Chicago White Sox

ProsWorking as a professional baseball player is a dream that came true. Day in and out of performing and doing something you are passionate about is a rewarding feeling. The goals you set in sports prepares one for the real life situations and then attaining those goals and committing yourself and pursuing those goals gives you purpose and the feeling of success. All of these traits prepares one for opportunities and success in the business world. Being a professional athlete teaches one that even if you have one day that may not have been your best performance you get to go back out the next day and do it all over again and turn things around.

ConsThe downside of being a professional athlete is the seasonal part of the job. All other aspects of being a professional baseball player is a very positive experience.

Advice to Senior ManagementAt this time I have no advice or feedback to give to the leadership of the Chicago White Sox, other than the fact that it is a great organization and one I enjoy being an intregal part of.
