    Research Fellow

Research Fellow (Former Employee) Boston, MA

ProsCutting edge research and educational environment with world class faculty members and leaders in her/his field; An opportunity to make the most out of it.; good life/work balance.

ConsToo competitive to survive. Not all the lab head is world class. Need to be careful when choosing your potential mentor. Check, first, if funded federally etc. (e.g. by NIH).

    Research Assistant II

Research Assistant II (Current Employee) Boston, MA

ProsI was a Research Assistant II from Nov. 2007- Sept. 2010. CHB was a wonderful place to work for so many reasons: great benefit package, productive work environment, collaboration, ability to network with colleagues within CHB and other institutions to advance career and go back for graduate school.

ConsThe con for being a RA II and living in Boston is the lower pay scale, but I'm unsure if this is consistent with other research institutions.

Advice to Senior ManagementMy direct supervisor was truly wonderful and one of the most organized, professional people I've met in the field.
