I have been working at Chipotle full-time (more than a year)

    Pros

Free employee meal. Half off meal when not on the clock. If you work extremely hard you can be a manager.

    Cons

Pay is not enough for all the work asked of you. Zero to little training is offered.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Learn how to train people better. Teach portion management! Charge for extra items. 6 tortillas on the side should not be free

I have been working at Chipotle full-time (less than a year)

    Pros

Free employee meal, 50% off, paid breaks.

    Cons

Favoritism, fixed schedule, underpaid, hard work goes unappreciated.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Everyone should be treated equally. For employees that close, some tasks need to be shared between two people as some of them are too much for one person. The schedule should rotate. (Ex: The same set of employees should not always be getting weekends off.).

    I worked at Chipotle

    Pros

The chance to move up is great. You can really move up fast.

    Cons

Will be forced to work off the clock in order to move up. Make sure you documented if you are forced to. You can easily get burnt out.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Make sure you listen to the crew. Because somtimes the General Managers know upper level managment is coming in and they try to make it seem like everythings ok when there here, but when they leave everything goes back to being hell.

I worked at Chipotle full-time (more than 3 years)

    Pros

There is opportunity for growth and experience is not required. Pays higher than minimum wage which benefits new employees. For crew, schedules are flexible and will work with school.

    Cons

Lower management is not supported by upper management. For older employees pay is not high, this means newer employees are sometimes paid more than others and raises are as low as $.05 every six months making catching up hard. HR is not directly present or accessible making work conditions less than professional at times. Some employees will get many chances while others are let go without much corrective action giving making feedback and success inconsistent.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Support your other managers and take respectful workplace seriously. Tell people they do a good job when they do instead of always finding the negative. Appreciate the employees who work hard and hold the same standard for every one. Chipotle does had great opportunity but is not every persons future so do not hold it against someone if moving up in the company is not their end goal.

    I worked at Chipotle

    Pros

If you put in hard work you will be respected and have ability to advance

    Cons

Some "office politics" play in heavily here. Advancing is easy, but it is REALLY stressful work. People are extremely rude when working the line
