    Too much red tape

    Get What You Can

    ProsNot high stress. Opportunities can be there for those that seek them out and play the game.

    ConsLike high school some days. People who get ahead often do so via favoritism. Not a lot of talent across many areas, but that does allow some to hide and take home a check if they want.

    Great experience, but board members do not care for its branches or lower employees.

    ProsYou get to work for an individually owned property, therefore making it a personal experience. (This can be a good or bad thing). For me it was very enjoyable.

    ConsChoice Hotels itself does not seem to care about the overall wellbeing of its employees, but instead only for the money they do or do not bring in. There does not appear to be any loyalty within the company.

    Advice to Senior ManagementCare more for the individuals that work for you and give your company the good name it has, instead of thinking of everyone as a dollar sign. (There appears to be no loyalty).

    Everything was great till they outsourced us

    ProsAwesome company that seems to care about their employees. Great promotion opportunities, because they are constantly making organizational changes. Good benefits.

    ConsI worry about the future of the business. They have outsourced a majority of their call center operations. I don't know what the future holds for those who still work there.

    Advice to Senior ManagementTry to repay the loyalty that your employees have given you. Employees with 20+ years experience with company were washed away with no attempt to try to find an alternate position for them within the business.

    ProsThe building is a nice play to work. The people are relatively friendly. There is free food every so often, which is very nice.

    ConsI wasn't issued a laptop, so it was difficult when I needed it attending conferences or collaborate with someone else.

    It's an okay place to work

    ProsExcellent entry level positions available when entering the Hospitality/Customer Service industry, also develop soft sales skills

    ConsShift work may be necessary in career advancement, especially when you're in a busy place with fast turnover rates, room for advancement in the actual hotels may be minimal, if your not a personable person, don't work in this field
