    Pros

Able to work independently, Excell or advance upon action, wealth of knowledgeable ppl, state of the art convention center & meeting spaces. Large Waterpark with towering slides and a fun center

    Cons

Close-minded ownership regarding current issues one may face in life, lack of employee recognition, lack of positive vibe in building and harsh reputation blows due to turn over, undocumented and sometimes illegal firing of employees

    Advice to Management

Allow common sense and compassion for ones situation before passing a premature judgment.

Employees should be recognized and appreciatedo for their services and hard work

    Pros

Lot of training material available on Choice Advantage software; good business model and great reservation discounts for employees.

    Cons

No strict enforcement of important policies. GM Owners can easily ignore these policies and no action is taken.

    Advice to Management

Regional managers must keep a check on GMs especially the ones who are also owners of the franchise property. GM owners mostly don't contribute anything in the business but they are a big hurdle for staff who is knowledgeable and hard working in day to day life.

    Pros

choice hotels is a great company to work for, just pay attention to its affiliates

    Cons

you have to pay attention to your specific employer if you are working for an affiliated hotel. some hotels do abide by the standards set by choice but there are alot of hotel that do what they can to get through the inspections but then do nothing that they are required to do to be a choice hotel.

    Advice to Management

do more surprise inspections or secret shopper stays to make sure that the choice name is not being torn down by people who aren't doing what they are supposed to do to use the choice name.
