I have been working at Chrysler full-time (more than 3 years)

    Pros

Great benefits. Excellent pay. Work as many hours as you want.

    Cons

Corporate goals, creed, and policies not followed at the plant level. Management talks a good talk but fails to follow through.
Supervisors are treated horribly. Lots of stress and management refuses to set goals that are even remotely within reach.
No ability to get rid of bad workers. UAW protects the bad workers and management won't back you up.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Listen to your own corporate guidelines. Treat supervisors like potential managers of tomorrow not like disposable employees.

I have been working at Chrysler full-time (more than 10 years)

    Pros

There are no Pros to working at this company except to have it on your resume for name recognition. This is a immoral and deceptive company.

    Cons

They do not care about employees. They moved a whole department's work location over 50 mile with no compensation.

Provides no way to accomplish goals because VP/senior management make goals with out concurrence of employees.

WCM is a joke as no money can be devoted to it.

    Worse company I've worked for.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

This company ignores illegal and immoral practices. They were reported to the Business Practice Group and they still continue.

Performance appraisal process is a joke. Employees have little to no control of their outcome. And... the "beauty pageant" rating does not fairly rank employees. It's not objective.

VPs and senior management make costly mistake and they do not have to account for them. But the employees do.

The competition will excel as Chrysler continues it's ways.

    Pros

Gr8 pay if you can through the short sided dim interviewers.

    Cons

Lots of discrimination and a horrible interview process.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

None, I will let the equal employment opportunity commission catch up with them.

I worked at Chrysler full-time (more than an year)

    Pros

Some friendly people, perks only for blue badges

    Cons

No personal growth opportunities, small-thinking and micro-managing middle managers who only think in the short-run, poor communication between groups, no clear responsibility on major decisions due to FIAT involvement, cumbersome systems that create roadblocks and then no systems allowing for growth of the organization, inability for programs to be completed due to people not completing their tasks.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Create systems and metrics that engineers can work toward, rather than letting the bureaucracy persist. Having the "good ole boys" club will destroy the vision of the company and it will begin to show very soon.

I worked at Chrysler full-time (more than 8 years)

    Pros

The salaries are great, but you are treated like a slave. So if you don't mind selling your soul to the devil for a few coins, then this is the place for you.

    Cons

Inexperienced Management, no work-life balance, constant fear of downsizing.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Listen to your employees. They have great ideas for improving many processes.

I have been working at Chrysler full-time (more than 8 years)

    Pros

    Flexible work environment

Nice cafeteria with multiple lunch options.

    Cons

    Hard work does not pay.

Make you work consistently extra without paying overtime.

Don't care about employees career preferences. Won't let you move ahead in career.

Customers, quality, etc. are not the focus, bottom line is.

Bad management. Decisions take long time. When taken, most management decisions are wrong/bad for both the customers and the employees.

No clear hierarchy. No consistent management structure.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Care about your employees. Take what they want in their career more seriously and don't reward the hard work with a demotion.
