    Overall positive experience.

    Manager (Current Employee)

Prosbenefits package, flexible work options, company reputation, stability

ConsDifficult to get promotions unless you are a diverse employee. There is so much focus on diversity that they have lost sight of talent, skill sets, knowledge and hire/promote based solely on your diversity.

Advice to Senior ManagementSimplify the performance mgt process. Promote Caucasian people. See above comments.

It was a fair experience but i was tired of working in a cubicle.

    Anonymous Employee (Current Employee)

ProsDecent salary and the employees are generally nice. Underwiritng can become somewhat of a bore after a few years. You have ot have a sincere passion for insurance to really enjoy being at this company.

ConsYou must do a lot of networkign with senior executives to get ahead. and be willing to relocate at the drop of a hat.

Advice to Senior ManagementPlease formalize a process to allow feedback to reach senior level executives. Also, diversify the company more to avoid groupthink.

ProsThe people there are great and value work-life balance.

ConsMajority of the employees are over 50 yrs old, hard to relate if you are under 30.

    relevant corporate experience

    Anonymous Employee (Former Employee)

Prosnice people, good benefits, big successful company. They pay overtime on the certain level, dissent personal time off, work stability.

ConsDrawbacks of a big corporation: limited opportunities for the professional growth, transparency, and not too much flexibility for working hours. Formal structure.

Excellent learning opportunity in a corporate environment

    Anonymous Employee (Former Employee)

ProsGood benefits, generally good and supportive management. Generally generous vacation policy and personal days off policy. Given time and the willingness to relocate, promotion opportunities are there.

ConsPromotion can be difficult if you are unwilling or unable to relocate. In general, they have a very reserved and conservative style of management, so may be 'boring' so to speak for some.

Advice to Senior ManagementWork to maintain the company culture that was built over the previous century. Do not let good people be poached away by competitors because of short-term budget constraints as the education given to employees is excellent, but when they leave, Chubb ends up educating their competitors effectively.

    Good company for hard workers

    Anonymous Employee (Current Employee)

ProsProfessional work environment. Work the job, not the hours. No clocking in, respect among leaders and peers

ConsPay sucks. Doesn't keep up with inflation. No major raises even with promotions.

Advice to Senior ManagementReview your competitors compensation management and pay accordingly. For a company like Chubb, one shouldn't be paid almost 20% less than competitor salaries.
