I have been working at Church & Dwight full-time (more than 8 years)

    Pros

Company growth has meant good bonuses and no layoffs. They generally take pretty good care of you here. Relative to larger companies, politics and bureaucracy is less.

    Cons

Growth has meant more politics and bureaucracy. I get the feeling more and more, the company does not really care about employees. The work load has increased with growth as the # of employees has not really grown.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Ask us occasionally about things. With the recent corporate move, we felt completely out of the loop, never consulted and the end result is a new office that many hate.

I worked at Church & Dwight full-time (more than 5 years)

    Pros

Good management team that is honest and transparent with employees.
Good work-life balance and the company provides fun events to encourage being social outside of work.
Employees are friendly and very helpful. This is not a company for back-stabbing.

    Cons

Base compensation is lower than average, but the bonus and profit-sharing benefits make up for it.
It can feel like the boys club at times. If you don't fit in within the first couple of weeks, you won't make it beyond a year.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Provide more opportunities for career development.

I worked at Church & Dwight as an intern (more than an year)

    Pros

Helpful staff that guides you in the right direction. Can work both as part of a team toward a common goal or work independently on a separate project. The pay is fair and moderate for an intern position.

    Cons

As an intern for two past summers, I cannot find too much at fault with Church & Dwight and its staff.

I have been working at Church & Dwight full-time (more than 3 years)

    Pros

This is a solid company to work for. Due to the wide variety of consumer products that are offerred, it creates a good learning opportunity to familiarize oneself with the in's and out's among all of the brand categories.

    Cons

Extremely fast-paced work environment, which may or may not be a fit for all potential employees depending on one's ability to prioritize and/or rapidly shift gears.

I have been working at Church & Dwight

    Pros

Employees are empowered to make decisions and encouraged to challenge the norm. When delivering results, employees are recognized and promoted accordingly. Fair company to work for who try to make sure employees are balancing work and home life.

    Cons

Church & Dwight is a lean and dynamic work environment, so you have to be able to adapt and be very flexible. If not, you will find yourself scrambling to try to keep up with the pace. Also, salary is fair, but not more than industry average.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Overall, very good job leading and communicating company goals throughout the company. Company does a good job trying to take care of its employees. Bonus program could be improved.

I worked at Church & Dwight

    Pros

Good teams, great ancillary perks - summer hours, employee giving fund, supplemented weight loss groups. Fair salary but not enough support staff.

    Cons

Too lean means that you can't move that much. They don't promote you unless someone dies or retires and people stay FOREVER!

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Workers at Church & Dwight work hard - everyone rolls up their sleeves and digs in which is great but people want recognition through advancement and when you can't offer that, you lose them.
