    Pros

Good environment. Good, usually caring, managers. Relatively easy job. Free passes to movies. I, personally, made a lot of friends working there.

    Cons

Sometimes very long shifts. Difficult customers. Higher ups in the company don't seem to care much about employees. Cleaning up after movies can be gross.

I have been working at Cinemark part-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Free movies Free popcorn/soda while you work Selling tickets is pretty easy Scheduling is extremely flexible Discounts on food while you work

    Cons

High stress level situations Getting shifts covered is tedious Lack of employee appreciation Constantly on your feet Management does not respect availability occasionally

    Advice to Management

If on someone's availability it says they not be available, don't schedule them. It doesn't matter if they have a school break during that time frame and you think they won't be busy. The keys words in that word in the sentence is "think."

I worked at Cinemark (More than 5 years)

    Pros

Flexible work schedule, lots of opportunity to learn new positions. Free movies and half off food if you like to watch movies.

    Cons

Must work weekends and all holidays, employee facilities (break room) are often small and poorly furnished. Some jobs involve cleaning up after the public.

    Advice to Management

Be firm but human, many of the employees are kids trying to develop good work habits for the first time and may need some help or encouragement.

    Pros

The hours are ok and there is parking onsite which is nice when you are working late shifts - you don't have to walk far to your car.

    Cons

Everything there is expensive so customers often get upset at employees even though it's not their fault, compensation isn't great,

    Advice to Management

Try to prevent so much turnover by paying better attention to employees and ensure that employees are being trained properly.

I worked at Cinemark full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

This job is a great first job to introduce you to the work force. You'll interact with many different people and learn how to deal with a variety of situations. You'll also meet and work with a lot of great people.

    Cons

Their is very little room to move up, and even if you do the pay is absolute abysmal compared to the amount of work you need to do. Also be prepared to work all weekends and holidays, and expect to be pressured by the GM to change your schedule for his needs. The "flexible hours" line Centruy likes to use isn't a guarantee to any employee at this location.

    Advice to Management

Pay your workers a decent wage. Turnover is high because workers have to give up all their weekends and holidays for very little pay.

I worked at Cinemark part-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Great free movie Benefits. Co-workers are all great, and young as yourself. Very close to home. Able to learn more about the movie business.

    Cons

To be honest, you are very and extremely replaceable to the company. There are always going to be young high school kids looking for a minimum wage job, which makes you expendable.

    Advice to Management

Management needs to take care more of their employees. Perhaps increase wages so workers work at a higher level. Try not to take their job as serious as they do
