    Pros

    Relatively good salary and benefits.

    Cons

Incredibly inflexible. No work from home even in IT. Business formal for everyone. Ties and jackets in the HQ for men. Women must wear hosiery. No eating lunch at your desk. Company policies were 100 pages.

    Advice to Management

Get with the times. Trust your employees.

    Pros

4 day work week, reasonable salary if you work hard to make good commissions, mostly friendly co-workers

    Cons

Horrible managers, below average hourly rates before factoring in commissions, not great working conditions, favoritism when promoting

    Advice to Management

Stop micromanaging everyone. Get a mechanic on site so the drivers don't have to check their own fluid levels and refill as necessary.

    Pros

Typically a strong base pay with perks of a car package and quarterly bonuses.

    Cons

They tend to hire young (20 somethings, white males in sales (s they like to think since men are the "bread winners & if you're married even better if your wife doesn't work…they have you by the balls so you are not tempted to quit.) but do hire if you are visually appealing (i.e.beautiful and a size 4) "girls". Male dominated company throughout the entire organizations. They have their "token" female heads in few positions and minorities mostly behind the scenes. RIGHT wing company.

    Advice to Management

Promoting employees into management positions does not make for a great manager. Simply because someone achieved their goals as a sales person (concentrating only on self) does not make for a positive Manager for a region.

    Pros

The pay was pretty good at $85,000

    Cons

You will be working 12 hour days. Everyone says family is a priority but it isn't. And do not believe them when they give you a timeline of when you will be promoted to GM or sales manager. It doesn't happen no matter how good your reviews are.

    Pros

Great fellow SSRs and great health insurance at a fair cost to your. Monday thru Friday work week and home by dinner if you keep to your scheduled route.

    Cons

All management cares about is you keep putting every new item in the first aid cabinets whether the customer wants it or not. Bust your back to be top SSR in your location and get over locked for promotion for the employee who is average at best but kiss butt to management . They rather have you keep growing your route than be promoted to Service Manager and grow 5 great Service Sales Reps. I believe upper management thinks that they need yes managers who will do wwhat Cintas wants than someone with a brain who may go against the Cintas way by being honest and having ethics that they stand behind while looking out for what the costumer really wants and needs.

    Advice to Management

Start doing what you say in your code of conduct booklet. Make the company grow while looking out for your customers. Make profit the right way. Promote those who have a proper understanding of how to run a business and develop new sales reps.

    Pros

A good training ground for people straight out of college. They will introduce you to a lot of different business situations that help sharpen your skills for your next job.

    Cons

Cintas is a company that is working to improve shareholder value but forgets about their employees quite frequently. CIntas has a culture of overworked and underpaid employees. They call all of their employees partners but in reality you feel more like a number. I worked at a branch level as well as at the corporate level.

    Advice to Management

Improve corporate culture, provide better wages and a more up to date sales process. Cintas has the potential to be a good company but must change their philosophy to be a more attractive and modern company.

    Pros

Great benefits package at a low cost. Decent stepping stone for new mechanics.

    Cons

No organization within maintenance department. Management tried to micromanage every aspect of our work. Lots of brown nosing going on here. They preach culture all day long but thats just for show. I suppose it would be decent if you held a first shift position but if you worked second or nights forget about it. No structure, no opportunity for advancement. Production workers were treated terribly by management. All the procedures and policies made repairs very difficult at times.

    Advice to Management

Listen to your people because you obviously have no idea what works and what doesnt.

    Pros

Great pay and advancements. Work schedule is gravy. Partners are amazing.

    Cons

If you don't comply an brown nose and make unethical calls that management requires, you will be let go or discriminated against. You are just a number as their corporate culture implies putting share holders first.

    Advice to Management

Put employees first and you will gain customer loyalty and income.

    Pros

    Pros:

You meet some incredibly hard working people from hispanic backgrounds that are essentially working harder than anyone else in the company.

    Cons

    Cons:

They act very "excited" (this is a scripted term they use at Cintas) to have you join their team. Depending on where you live, base salary can be anywhere from 45k to 50k. During the interview process they tell you about your car package that you will be receiving, your gas card, and your car insurance being paid for. However, once you're hired, you soon realize that they are also hiring in 4 other people for the exact same role that you were hired in for. Then the Sales Manager (acting like they already told you this) tells you that you all will be competing for the only territory available and that you'll have to earn the car package, credit card, and car insurance. I wouldn't recommend taking this job unless you're in desperate need of the money that they pay you to train. OH AND BY THE WAY-- this *earning your territory" consists of you driving around and selling Cintas products WITHOUT BEING PAID FOR YOUR SALES, WITHOUT BEING COMPENSATED FOR GAS, AND WITHOUT HAVING YOUR INSURANCE PAID FOR.

    Advice to Management

Be more upfront during the interview process of how the hiring process works and what the candidate should expect once they accept an "offer". Don't try to get the candidate to decline their other offers and accept yours just because you want to hire the candidate. Reveal all pertinent details of what it would be like to work at Cintas- don't just pretend like they'll make a ton of money to tell them "oh by the way, you need to earn this and beat out 3 other people." My question is then, what happens to the other 3 people that were hired in for the same role that also had information unethically omitted from them? NEWS TO CINTAS: Employees like myself, who have exceptionally qualified backgrounds for many jobs out there, will not stay at your company if you're not genuine and real. WE'LL LEAVE AND GO TO A MORE AUTHENTIC OPPORTUNITY BECAUSE PEOPLE LIKE ME ALWAYS HAVE OPPORTUNITIES!
