My experiences at Cintas began well, but have only become worse with time.

Anonymous Employee (Current Employee) Westbrook, ME

ProsThey provide good benefits including health and 401k. There are opportunities for promotions, some of which pay extremely well.

ConsThis particular plant is always understaffed causing extra unneeded stress on employees. Product shortage are also a common issue due to the increase in demand, but not in supply.

Advice to Senior ManagementFocus less on how to maximize your own bonuses, and do what is best for the group.

No, I would not recommend this company to a friend

Hard work, fair pay. Long hours, unpaid overtime.

Service Sales Representative (Current Employee) Tampa, FL

Pros4 day work week. Decent insurance.

ConsThey don't pay overtime at time and a half, they use a varying calculation. They deduct a lunch break from you even though you will never be able to take one. You don't really get paid holidays, they make you work your days off to compensate. There is never enough product to service your clients, but you have to charge your clients anyway.

No, I would not recommend this company to a friend – I'm not optimistic about the outlook for this company

    Anonymous Employee (Current Employee)

ProsBenefits, large company, brand name, if you are in the 'in' crowd, you are set up well, don't like turnover

ConsPoor work-life balance, unrealistic expectations of time, selfish individuals, don't realize there is a new compeitive landscape of which they are falling behind.

Advice to Senior ManagementModernize yourselves while still sticking to the core values

    This company lacks real values.

Service Manager (Former Employee) Philadelphia, PA

ProsYou will learn a lot about service recovery. There are ample opportunities for advancement due to high turnover in leadership roles.

ConsYou will get burned out dealing with the same recurring issues that are structural and cannot be fixed. Once you get into a leadership role, you will quickly discover why the turnover is so high.

Advice to Senior ManagementIncentivize your front line to really live your mission and values. Encourage junior management to find work-life balance to reduce turnover and fix the long term organizational problems within many of the operations.

    Anonymous Employee (Current Employee)

ProsPay is decent, benefits and retirement are amazing

ConsNo room for advancement, management doesn't want you to move up if you are doing good in a position, kill yourself to help other partners and the company for nothing back except to do even more work, the pay raises if you get any are a joke.

Advice to Senior ManagementPromote people, fire those who continually make mistakes and don't care about their job, give better pay raises.

No, I would not recommend this company to a friend
