    It is a good company

Systems Engineer (Current Employee) New York, NY

Prossmart people, work hard, good mobility to move around. Excellent benefits. Work with top companies in the world as customers.

Conspay is average. Cisco leadership is spotty in some places but rolling layoffs have helps get rid of most. Rolling layoffs are not great but are needed to weed out bottom 5%.

Advice to Senior Managementpay more to the front line folks

    Cisco rocks

IT Architect (Current Employee) San Jose, CA

ProsIt is a great place to work in learn, grow and play because of the flexible work schedule. The leadership structure allows for personal growth, training and career development.

ConsIt is a boiler plate with lots of competing priorities and may not be right for everyone. The work never seem to stop with a demand to provide over 80% customer facing time FTU.

    Reward & Recognition

Senior Business Operations Manager (Current Employee) Atlanta, GA

ProsGreat company in regards to benefits, pay and personal development that leads to a challenging and satisfying experience. Ethics and business transparency induce pride in being part of this company, A great culture of being part of society and understanding and accepting the responsibility that goes along with that.

ConsIt's a tough environment in which to work and succeed as 'status quo' doesn't really exist. Salaries are commensurate or even at the higher end of the industry; promotions to the next grade level may appear slow (only so much room at the higher pay grades ) but pay raises are fair and bonuses and stock rewards are icing on the cake. Cisco has visionary leadership and adjusts leadership roles (and sometimes personnel) to ensure the right person for the right role to meet new challenges.

Advice to Senior ManagementMaintain transparency with the investment community, shareholders, and employees as Cisco. Cisco is seen less as a growth company and more as a value company so shareholders are looking to better understand their ROI. That can only be achieved through clear conveyance of the aspirations and direction of Cisco in the marketplace.

Great experience, great development and rewarding under the right management team

Network Consulting Engineer (Current Employee) New York, NY

ProsThe freedom is performing you job, this includes the flexibility of working from home or any office and the responsibilities of time and expense management.

The company puts a lot of trust in you as an individual contributor.

The biggest plus are your coworkers and the support you receive and contribute to them.

ConsIf you are unfortunate with a poor manager that you report to can make the job a challenge, but you can meet him/her prior to taking a position reporting to him/her.

The raises and promotions are a bit too few and too far apart, but the ability to work from home saves on many expenses.

Advice to Senior ManagementHire the right talent, trust that talent (do not micro manage) and reward results.

Foster the team relationship, as it is one of the most valuable pro's to the job.

Yes, I would recommend this company to a friend – I'm optimistic about the outlook for this company
