    Pros

Diverse workforce with many options for career paths.

    Cons

leadership oftentimes has no insight into the line of business they are running.Lots of really smart people many of whom actively avoid accountability.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

pay more attention to the results aspect of an applicant and less on the "pedigree."

    Pros

Benefits are the best thing about them, they seem to care about their employees health.

    Cons

No pay, do not take a collection job, they don't make any flexibility when it comes to pay.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Try to encourage human resources to pay for past performance.

I worked at Citi full-time (more than an year)

    Pros

Health benefits, 401k plan, work on a team, company parties/employee appreciation seminars, bonuses based on performance

    Cons

Often work more than 8 hours a day but the position was salary - so no OT pay. Hostile traders - training process was not thorough enough to understand work duties.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Focus more on training and improving management tactics.

I have been working at Citi full-time (more than 10 years)

    Pros

I have worked at Citi Transaction Services for 14 yrs. The benefits were good and they were very flexible.

    Cons

Since I have worked for Citi in 2000 I have seen thousands of people laid off and three site closers. As of October 2014 the site I work at is shutting down it's Statements Division.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    Good Luck!

I have been working at Citi full-time (more than 5 years)

    Pros

I like the people I work with, we share the same mentality when it comes to work. I enjoy what I do on a daily basis.

    Cons

We are a hard working IT group that completes jobs in record times to the benefits of or internal customers yet we get little recognition outside of our group. Wage hikes have been non-existent for the past 5 years while benefit cost and deductible amounts continue to rise for the employee. Way too much "I need this yesterday" due to the fact of poor planning on the PMs. The "I'll blame you!" attitude so get things done in a hurry, sometimes needing to be re-done 2 or 3 times when we could have just waited to get it right in the first place with better information. A lot of jobs have been outsourced to groups that seem to have no clue as to what they are doing, yet it is our responsibility to make sure that things get installed correctly with little or no information. Seems to be a lit of wasted effort and poor planning.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

You seem to be so worried about the lower levels of management and flattening the structure by removing a layer of management at the bottom, maybe you need to look at the other process and upper management where some of the issues seem to reside.

I worked at Citi full-time (more than 10 years)

    Pros

The pay was decent until "redundancy" hit me. Then I was fired due to "business reasons". Lost everything. Hey, take a chance if you want to - why not... You just might make it if you kiss up to the right people...

    Cons

When you get let go, you get "one phone call".... made just to you with HR on the line to explain what comes next.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Stop out-sourcing the jobs. After 13 years my co-worker in Brazil now does my job. Thanks Citi. My family thanks you too..
