    Pros

    Amazing benefits
    Great vacation allotment
    Hours
Exposure to different areas of the business
Being a business owner from A to Z
Ability to create own processes and have them approved by risk, compliance and legal.
Ability to work with all levels of management across the business and learn from them.

    Cons

Communication from the top down needs to be clearer and more consistent
Ability to break down silos has to be easier
    Right size staffing
    Goals need to make sense
Upper management needs to be more open to suggestions and to try new things

    Advice to Management

Treat your employees with dignity and respect always.
Don't use and abuse your top people and tear them down
Give balanced feedback. Acknowledge the positive improvements and implementations that have been put into place.

    Pros

Pay, good training, not much else

    Cons

Long hours, poor treatment, high turnover

    Advice to Management

One of the worst places I've ever worked. You're treated like children and basically have to ask to go to the bathroom. I wouldn't recommend it to anyone

    Interesting but demotivating

    I worked at Citi

    Pros

Flexible work hours, lots of cutting edge technologies, transparency with the trading desk.

    Cons

Typical corp culture, everything requires approval delaying the necessary changes. Favoritism within the ranks, line managers are pushovers, middle management ignorant towards their employees, all business is deviated towards London while NY takes the backseat. Ppl turnover is crazy, tons people get laid off all the time, very frustrating and demotivating. Consultant culture dominates over perm employees.

    Advice to Management

Quit hiring consultants: they don't care about the company, they will never be loyal and fully committed .

    Pros

Some great people to meet in pockets.

    Cons

Culture: Everyone is ok with being mediocre. Very gossip filled environment. "Mobility" is preached but not practiced.

    Pros

The pay was good and they had company parties and events that I was invited to participate in even though I was a contractor

    Cons

There weren't enough employees to do the job that I was assigned to do, so the other mailroom clerks and I often "scrambled" to get the work done in a timely manner. Also, if the day shift staff wanted to work overtime, they would sit at their work stations, and the 2nd shift staff (of which I was one) had to find places to sit which wasn't easy.

    Advice to Management

Make sure you have enough staff members to get the job done. If one of the shifts works overtime, make them find a different place to sit so that the next shift can sit at their regular work stations.

    Pros

Still lots of potential to regain its glory days. There are a few employees that remain that hold onto the Citi core values and care

    Cons

Citi has become a place where too many friends try to keep each employed. Cutting staff has become a way to survive. Some employees have questionable ethics to get the job done.

    Advice to Management

More ethics training and awareness should be conducted

    Pros

pay is great, people are helpful but management and good opportunity to grow.

    Cons

Too bureaucratic, no work-life balance, zero job security

    Advice to Management

need real leaders..most get promoted because of their technical skills and not leadership skills....change that!

    Pros

The position has diverse responsibilities and gives you an opportunity to interface with multiple vendor types. Overall, it's a position of visibility and a opportunity to display leadership skills.

    Cons

Unfortunately the training is non-existent, promotions are rare, the compensation is below market value, the company practices are outdated and it's kind of a "blind leading the blind" type of hierarchy.

    Advice to Management

Promote those who are deserving not those who are friends of senior leadership. Also, establish a leadership program to help develop those who show any inkling of potential.
