    Pros

Great customer interaction. Good benefits package. Flexible schedule. Good starting pay. Good training programs if you don't mind traveling. Great coworkers.

    Cons

High pressure sales objectives are impossible to meet and change constantly. Very high turnover in the branches due to poor management.

    Advice to Management

Stop changing the goals and pay attention to what regional management is doing. You would have less turnover. Shady sales tactics are going on under your noses.

    Pros

One day you get to quit the Mcdonalds of banking.

    Cons

Absolutely no work life Balance avg week 44-50 hrs even for hrly employees. Salary employees are forced to work 6 day weeks and come in whenever someone calls off with no extra pay. Citizens is undergoing a Multi-site arrangement which forces the assistant manager to do the full job of the manager without manager pay while the manger goes and plays soccer and visits the carnival on company time. All branches are horribly understaffed. In-store employees get stabbed with the longer hour dagger without overtime. Bankers are under paid. The new profit and loss system also reduces profitable bankers bonus by over 75%. Under the new system it almost impossible to make a bonus of over $1000 even if you more than double your sales goals. Upper management in this region is also very Bourgeoisie and only care abut their 6 figure salaries they never deserved from the beginning. The company does not respect its open door policy.

    Advice to Management

Fire all upper managment and replace them with competant people

    Pros

Great vacation/ PTO. Medical insurance is ok and the dental insurance is great. The people in the branches, I've been in several, have been some of the best people I've ever worked with.

    Cons

Citizens cares only about your next sale. They have gone so far adrift from where they once were it's sickening. Years ago they really did live the Credo of Customer's Colleagues, Community. Now their concern for customer's is what can I sell you. I don't really think they concern themselves with the peons in the branches any longer except to drive them to get more sales. Community is a joke, they simply do things for publicity. Let's not forget the pay, it's a joke if you've worked there for years because baby your maxed out, you get a great review and good score and get nothing. Seriously I'm on the end side of my career, If I was younger I would definitely find a new job and I am sure it would pay better.

    Advice to Management

Try listening to your branch personnel, they do the work for you so you can continue to get your 6 and 7 figure incomes. They all know that this is a for profit business but you are running it into the ground with constant changes in products and the lack technology.

    Pros

    1) Better than being unemployed.
    2) You'll be much more appreciative when you get a good job

    Cons

Despite having a commendable value statement ('the credo'), this business only values money. Staff, customers, compliance with banking regs will all be thrown under the bus in order to make budget. I saw so many great people, in what were key roles laid-off to hit year- end targets it was ridiculous. Some roles inevitably had to back-filled, normally this would be by less-experienced, lower-paid staff. Lay-offs could happen at any time of the year, so you never have job security. The regulatory fines were eye-watering, but despite promise-on-promise that things would change, there were always more fines.

    Advice to Management

    1) Set a realistic budget,
    2) get control of the business (hint: when you get hit by huge fines year-on-year, you're not in control)
    3) Change the business culture. Policies and credos are fine, but culture eats policy.

    Pros

    - There are some great people in this company. It's a diverse group.
    - Travel Expense Reimbursement
    - PTO

    Cons

    - Standing for most of the day
    - You will have to work a lot of weekend days
    - The sales goals are ridiculous. This company wants to make the numbers look great so they can get bought out
    - Weekly call nights (telemarketing)
    - You get micromanaged
    - The bonus structure. It's tough to exceed your goals and your bonus is paid out months after the quarter ends.

    Advice to Management

Stop micromanaging. It's not effective, and the bankers don't like it.

    Pros

You receive 18 vacation days after your first full year of employment.

    Cons

There is no professional training sessions. You sit with a fellow colleague who you hope is showing you the correct way of doing things. The pay scale is horrible for the work you are required to finish each day. Also its tough when you aren't part of the "clique".

    Advice to Management

Please work on Communication with managers and employees and put in professional training sessions.
