    Pros

ok pay, pays for school, good health benefits , flexible schedule for day people. Good vacation days and pto time

    Cons

Overly worked, Citizens bank runs employees right into the ground and expects more and more on a weekly basis. There is no moral at this company. It's a good opportunity on paper but in person you are overly stressed and take a chunk out of you're personal life and raises are a joke

    Advice to Management

You need to listen to you're employees and they don't. They appreciate their employees at all and just expect to much.

    Pros

If you are looking for educational credits, they will pay for college tuition if related to the business.

    Cons

Limited to zero merit increases, no guarantee for bonus. Benefits have consistently decreased 'to align with industry standards'.

    Advice to Management

Investing in your people will go a long way.

    Pros

SOME of the managers. some will really work with you and will help you with scheduling conflicts and time off needed. your manager will make or break your time at Citizens

    Cons

unstable, always organizational changes. low morale after the IPO, you get paid more coming from outside the bank rather than being promoted within.

    Advice to Management

take more time to invest in your people. your "open door" policy is a joke, and you know it. dont tell people about how you want us to grow but when we use our benefits and take some college classes you suddenly deny everything and wont help us grow. stop playing favorites.

    Cons

The unethical sales policies became a problem, they started using a comes with approach, giving customers products they did not want or need.

    Pros

When I first got to Citizens things were great, they valued their employees and offered industry leading benefits.

    Cons

Over time they pulled back those benefits and leaned the place to death, if you don't work in a branch or customer facing role, you're outsourced to a 3rd party.

    Advice to Management

To be a leader and attract and retain top talent, act like the organization you were and not what you're striving to be. Pretty soon you'll have zero to show for it. Unless of course your primary goal is to sell the company outright.

    Pros

This is a stable company. Benefits are competitive with the industry. It is constantly updating to stay current. It is everywhere in RI.

    Cons

Low wages. Increased demands on sales with an ever shrinking staff. It is difficult to transfer to another department.

    Advice to Management

The people who create policies to work by, should have a better understanding of how the policy affects the job as a whole. Things become disjointed and work is no longer streamlined, with each new report or function inserted into the mix.

    Pros

They had good insurance and great working hours.

    Cons

I would not wish this job on my worst enemy! I spent two and a half years there and it was nothing but stress. They will be on your case everyday about how many sales appointments you have, when they are coming in, what are they coming in for, and how many referrals can you get out of them. There's never a time where you feel comfortable at work. Managers will micro manage every single last customer and get on your case if you didn't sell them anything. I currently work for one of Citizen's competitors and constantly get customers complaining about how pushy they are with their products. Citizen's Bank is very aggressive in sales!

    Advice to Management

Stop pushing sales and focus more on customer service.
