    Pros

Very good benefits from the amount of PTO you get down to the medical and dental. I would say one of the best I have had.

    Cons

No work life balance. The call nights are just a waste of time. It's all about hitting the numbers and then when you do, it's still not good enough.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

The stress is getting unbearable. Not enough tellers or bankers. I also feel that the Liscened Banker program was not the best thing to have happen at Citizens Bank. It's still a new program but not too sure if it is working.

I have been working at Citizens Financial Group full-time (more than 10 years)

    Pros

The people I work with day to day are great. Everyone helps each other and try to make it fun. There are plenty of different career options to work towards.

    Cons

There aren't enough people to get the work done so many work long hours and teams are overloaded. The pace of change is exhausting.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Talk to people and hear their concerns about staffing. Set realistic expectations and reward those that get the work done.

    Pros

Many different career opportunities in the Boston & Providence locations.

    Cons

Different business lines operate in their own silo's.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Manage two levels down more often and you will identify opportunities to improve the bank and reduce attrition.

    Pros

    Good introduction to banking industry.
Benefits/Salary are ok for not requiring much experience.
Some opportunity to grow if you put in your own effort to really learn the product line and banking areas.

    Cons

Limited potential for promotion in the retail banking sector.
Pressure to sell banking products can sometimes lead to bad customer service.
Working with unqualified/uninformed Bankers, sale people only.

I have been working at Citizens Financial Group full-time (more than 10 years)

    Pros

Great, smart people who are always trying to do their best for each other and customers. The company does a very good job of hiring the right people but sometimes gets lost in how to measure success and communicate a cohesive strategy that everyone understands and will follow.

    Cons

Many, many shifting and confusing priorities. It's hard to deliver against a plan when you know it's going to change. Even senior management seems to be "stuck" when determining how to properly prioritize...the "deliver everything" attitude is hard to follow and somewhat unrealistic.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Simplify goals and then measure against them. Don't just roll-out new priorities before you have told us how we have done against the old ones. Also, when you decide something is not working just tell your colleagues. Great leaders deliver both good news and bad new equally.

I have been working at Citizens Financial Group full-time (more than 10 years)

    Pros

the customers are the best. worked there 10 years.some good employee great insurance, good to community projects.

    Cons

Managment is lacking maybe ifsome .of these higher up would ask some of these employee why they left. Instead of sitting in and office. Pick some employess and ask why your leaving. Been there 10 years got fired had many customer call and complain who listens to them no one.Ive been home 2 days and recieved 6 calls from customers

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

look into the little people that come to work everyday and who are there to take care of customers and make the company look good.Find out why there such a big turn over listen to employee and customers.Because thats what were here for our customers.

    UK Control

I worked at Citizens Financial Group full-time (more than 3 years)

    Pros

Working relationships with peers and team can be rewarding. Vacation time is unlike anything I have seen elsewhere. Benefits are ok.

    Cons

Under such UK control it is hard to do your job effectively or to have any original thoughts. Understand the current ownership structure and the control that requires but in order to effectively run the business there needs to be more flexibility.

I worked at Citizens Financial Group full-time (more than an year)

    Pros

-Citizens is one of the top banks that offers attractive home equity line of credit rates
-AWESOME PEOPLE. You will meet some truly great employees and customers at this job
-Great work/life balance- very flexible schedule
-Will learn great sales techniques that will look great on a resume
    -Help is always available
-Career advancement can be quick and easy if you form great relationships with management

    Cons

-Horrible pay and commission structure (in my opinion. The work that bankers and managers put in should be far further compensated in order to avoid the high turn over rates that plagues this company and other banks)
-Citizens has not had the best track record
-Citizens is comparatively horrible next to other banks; I often found myself selling what I truly did not feel passionate about
-As many awesome people as there are, there is also a fair share of HORRIBLE PEOPLE!!!
-Success in this industry depends on what branch you work at. There truly are branches that are in horrible locations that are unable to do well because of either stiff competition in the area (thus affecting FC goals, checking accounts, loans, etc), or just the fact that they are in the middle of nowhere!

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Increase pay to avoid turnover; find a way to lower stress to make goals on employees
