Current Employee – been working at City of Lodi - California
Pros – The City of Lodi pays the employee contribution portion of the CalPers retirement. The City of Lodi will also match up to 3.5% of employee base salary put into a 401k.
Cons – The tough financial times (not just for the City of Lodi) have caused cutbacks in various departments. Also, due to the recession, any types of raise are currently out of the question.
Advice to Senior Management – The management in my department is doing an outstanding job. Even though we have been stricken with budget cuts, management has still been able to make sure we have what we need.
