    It's a train wreck

    Senior Software Engineer (Current Employee)
    Los Angeles, CA

ProsThe lower level employees are nice and fun to work with.

    Free bagels on friday.

The internet advertising business is good but not here due to poor execution

ConsMgmt. just doesn't care about it's employees and are very unethcial

Very poor execution on mgmt's part they don't stick with a project long enough to complete it instead they pull the plug right before it's about to be completed

Mgmt does not listen to its employee's it their way or the highway

No loyalty or interest in keeping good employees when they are about to leave

Advice to Senior ManagementI would like them to leave and to see IAC do a complete overhaul on mgmt. from the CEO to the directions

Bad place to work, lots of politics

    Anonymous Employee (Former Employee)
    West Hollywood, CA

ProsEngineers are quiet friendly, flexible job timings

ConsPoor salary, no motivation, bad performance review, lots of influence from management, lots of politics

Advice to Senior ManagementHR's should be changed. They are useless. Sitting on top and just getting very good salary for doing nothing.

Watch out! Failing company with extremely poor management.

    Anonymous Employee (Former Employee)
    New York, NY

ProsSalary and benefits. A chance to learn about online marketing (how it works and how it does not). That is about it.

ConsManagement is the worst. I can't stress this enough. They are often misinformed, of no help at all, and have no sense of what management truly is. Any employee that comes to work at Citysearch is automatically set up for failure. You are lucky if you make it for six months.

I'm glad I got out of there.

Advice to Senior ManagementRemove almost all current management with people that have true management capabilities. If the CEO of IAC and Citysearch (and definitely the heads of Human Resources) knew the real picture of what goes on at Citysearch with their employees, then your company could succeed.

This place is an HR nightmare.

    Most Awful Job Ever

    Account Executive (Current Employee)
    Houston, TX

ProsSalary is good and commissions are good. Benefits are good.

ConsI worked here for a few years and the management is awful. I cannot stress that enough, it is so very bad from the executive level on down. The pressure is unbelievable and there is no support whatsoever. I would not recommend this company to anyone not even the most desperate. Even the most talented, motivated and professional salespeople cannot make this work.

Advice to Senior ManagementI wish the President and CEO would look at the performance of each city and understand why certain cities are failing. It is the management team plain and simple.

    Mismanaged from the top down

    Anonymous Employee (Former Employee)

    ProsBagel Friday, short work days

ConsStrategy changes weekly, product is behind, the same people get promoted but there's little movement for anyone else

    Run!

    Anonymous Employee (Former Employee)

ProsPart of IAC parent company - great benefits.

ConsOld company trying to keep up in digital space. Completely out-run by other younger online competitors in the space. Product doesn't deliver, customers often upset. Lots of turnover across the country.

Advice to Senior ManagementHire some new leaders at the corporate level.
