Former Employee – worked at Clean Harbors full-time
Pros – Dynamic environment, new challenges every day, skilled workforce, demanding customers, cutting edge technology, really making a difference in an important area -- our environment! If you do well, you can work here forever.
Cons – Long hours, short weekends, never enough staffing support, below market compensation, tough to get funding for necessary equipment, east coast bias, poor work-life balance.

Pros – My review comes after being in sales at several companies over 20 years. Most people here are genuinely good, hard working people. The benefits are great even after the increase we experienced this year. I would imagine the are better benefits than where you at. Very good base salary. Stock purchase plan is good(lowest price over quarter less 15&). 800 pound guerilla in the industry. Key to success here is figure out who can get things done and keep them happy. Training is heavy and lots of online courses for learning almost anything. Recently, they implemented a system to have new employees have a buddy and mentor to help get you started. Service that people HAVE to HAVE. Industry is only going to get bigger. Lots of people 10, 20 plus years here. If you want you could probably stay here for life.
Cons – Like every company I have worked with there are some issues, but stable and secure environment. Not sure if good or bad base salary is high but bonus are low. I am happy with pay for my role. If you are not careful you could turn into a customer service rep and not a sales rep.
Advice to Senior Management – Most roles have a way for promotion, but in sales it is not clear. As an account manager it is too easy to turn into customer service rep and get tied up with customer service issues. Job description for support roles seems to vary depending on local management not consistent on who does what across the board..

Current Employee – been working at Clean Harbors
Pros – always something new so you never get bored with your job
advancement if you choose to take it
travel is possible if you choose to take it
Cons – I don't really have downsides, the pay freeze is a little tough due to the cost of living going up and salries staying the same.

Current Employee – been working at Clean Harbors full-time for more than 10 years
Pros – Stable customer base, Benefits, Good People, Best of Breed. Stock has done very well. CEO is also the founder and longest running CEO on the market. He is very astute at keeping the street happy. Ton or resources for training at your finger tips. Lots of employees have been here 10 plus years.
Cons – Depending on your group no real upward mobility. Some support staff is stuck in their ways and not held accountable. Just like any place has it challenges
Advice to Senior Management – Some managers have been in the same position for 10 plus years. Rotate them

Current Employee – been working at Clean Harbors
Pros – Started in Operations right out of college, acheived a few small promotions, after 5 years rewarded with promotion to sales force (better pay, less hours) It is a job that you get what you put into it.
Cons – Lots of travel at almost every job. Expectation is work becomes #1 life priority. Excess documentation for sales employees.
Advice to Senior Management – Really look at your middle management and how they base their decisions. It may be a bit more political than business oriented.
