    Positive Outlook

I have been working at Clifford Chance full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

Wonderful company to work for, salary is competitive with the usual benefits, but have gym, swimming pool, a good canteen and the environment (both inside and outside the office) is very good. Colleagues are great to work with.

    Cons

Not much of a career progression for a legal secretary unless you into management or change of career. But in this sort of role I suspect that is the case for a lot of companies, unlike a lawyer, whereas there is some kind of progression.

    Advice to Management

I would suggest that HR should play a more active role in communicating with employees. The hierarchy structure in a department is fine. Don't really have much to do with CEOs or such like.

    No opinion of CEO

I have been working at Clifford Chance full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

great firm, great reputation and brand, interesting international deals, good payment, nicely located office, great down to earth culture, now elbows a lot of fun, working hours hard but not too bad, good training opportunities

    Cons

loosing market share in Germany, behind Freshfields and Linklaters and still growing slower. Seems to rely too much on international network, sometimes small deals and cannot partly seems to compete on price, due to slow growth uncertain partner opportunities

    Advice to Management

difficult to say. sharpen profile, catch up with competition to stay within the top 5

I have been working at Clifford Chance full-time (More than 8 years)

    Pros

Good salary and benefits, good people to work with, Superb office. Senior management very approachable and actually listen to you, Interest free loan for travel

    Cons

Work quite repetitive (For me anyway), not many opportunities to progress. Location (For me as I lived miles away)

    Advice to Management

Focus more on developing employees and training

I have been working at Clifford Chance full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

I enjoy my work and colleagues, Good benefits free drinks / fruit (Tuesday and Thursday), The free Nuffield run gym is excellent I can't understand why some people do not use it. The free quarterly classic music performances are also excellent. Annual health checkups are another good service. Recently there have been talks given by a professional stress expert which helps our work life balance. .Building is maintained and cleaned to a high standard,

    Cons

Work wise lack of promotion opportunities has been the only negative for me. The bar and canteen would be pros if they were cheaper and better value no complaints about the staff or surroundings, Sometimes the them and us between lawyers and non lawyers is quite noticeable better than it used to be though

    Advice to Management

Would like to see more inclusion for all staff. It's better than it used to be but still room for improvement. We seem to be getting more 'directors' and middle managers. Can't help thinking there are too many and these positions always seem to go to outsiders, I don't think CC encourage loyalty enough
