At one time goals and objectives were clear..now it's all very political and employee loyalty means nothing.

    Pros

Discount, flexible schedule. Fast pave environment and day goes by quickly.

    Cons

If you have been there over 5+ years watch out they will run you out. Management more concerned about their own growth....they do not really care to advance and develop staff.

    Advice to Management

Fight for your employees that go above and beyond to get the job done. Develop and train staff instead of looking out for self only. Changes in corporate created multiple changes in field....for the worst. Product is not the same.....company needs to figure out direcyion and purpose.

    Pros

Editing quarterly new product Decent discount for employees

    Cons

Morale is low Lack of training for those in management - most do not know how to manage others Stifling hierarchy Low morale, high turnover because people are tired of working in such a negative culture

    Advice to Management

There needs to be higher accountability and evaluation of those in management positions. Some have been there longer than they need to be and because of their poor management, they are losing many people who do the work of the company. They are unable to retain key quality people. If you want to make an internal department change, there is too much red tape to go through. Essentially you direct supervisor can block your attempts to broaden your scope. Have heard of manager black balling direct reports and preventing them from pursuing other interests.

Lack of growth and acknowledgement of hard work. Difficulty in maintaining work-life balance as job required for long hours. There is too much of micromanaging. Taking a sick/vacation days are taken sorely which again is lack of work-life balance.

    Pros

The only pros of working at coach that I can think of would be..... Nothing. I have been there a week I am the top salesman already and that's fine except I am selling around $7,000 daily. I make about $88 daily

    Cons

Even worse than that. We outsource all of our things to China and the Philippines and we are not paying them livable wages or helping create livable conditions in the countries in which they are working hard for us. Also people were told to use her top shelf top-of-the-line designer bags and they are On shelves on top of each other sometimes in the floor there's nothing top of the line or professional about these bags they're not worth $400 guy than worth 100 you can help stop this bull *hit if you just stop buying coach until the my stop outsourcing. They try so hard to make it sound as if all of our things are made here in the U.S. Why not just make it here instead of putting on the front? You would cut your carbon foot print and yes you would have to pay livable wages but I can assure you more people would buy your bags.

    Advice to Management

Stop outsourcing. Stop pushing your employees to sell so much when it's not even commission based. We get it. You get bonuse each month but we don't. So you sell it if you're desp.

    Pros

Good discount. Rack up paid vacations pretty quick. Great insurance. Sadly that's it.

    Cons

I don't know where to begin. No manager there is happy because all of us were not trained from the get go. Upper management expects us to communicate well when we don't even know what we are talking about. They don't have time to train us so we were told to train ourselves. The company micro manages and wants its managers to micro manage. I am not a micro manager and I don't like hounding my staff every 15 minutes about their sales and asking "have you talked to that customer? Why hasn't your SPH gone up?" We weren't making our ridiculously high numbers in our FIRST year, so they lowered our goal. Now that we are making the numbers, you want to lower it again and take more hours? Because we aren't making last year numbers? Again, WE'VE BEEN OPEN A YEAR. At one point we had no GM, SM or DM. All at the same time. I can't tell you how many managers have been cycled through. People are quitting every week because rules change every week. Honestly, Coach really disappointed me.

    Advice to Management

TRAIN YOUR STAFF. Set some time aside to train a new store. Even customers can see it's easy to get overwhelmed there.

    Pros

    Cons

Company is currently struggling but working their way towards a revolution. It's hard right now, but I have a great feeling about how this will turn out.

    Advice to Management

Upper management should think more about developing their staff and promoting from with in.
