I have been working at Coach part-time (less than a year)

    Pros

The pay is amazing, the girls are beautiful, the stress level is pretty low. The culture is great.

    Cons

Management can quickly get on you for any little thing. Attention to detail and demonstrating diligence is important here

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Very little opportunity for any career advancement. They also fail to adequately train new hires immediately. It's usually an on sight, grasp as you see place

I have been working at Coach part-time (more than 3 years)

    Pros

Great company. They value their employees, there is a lot of communication and exceptions made for employees. Employees get great discounts and they give them extra discounts a couple times a year. Great benefits and possible bonus each month along with end of year bonus if your status is high enough. It's a great environment, not commission based so it's friendly and genuine.

    Cons

Management depending on where you are can be difficult to work for. Very performance driven, you have to be very conscious about numbers and sales. It is pretty slow especially after Christmas and summer, gets boring.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Some locations have management that get away with a lot because their team is strong. They don't lead by example and always represent the company that well with their image

I have been working at Coach part-time (less than a year)

    Pros

Great in-store atmosphere. Great discount. Weekly paid along with team share bonuses. Good hours. Everyone is surprisingly friendly and teamwork is pretty solid. Managers are nice at first then stiff afterwards, however, but once you get to know them they are really helpful and get the job done. They want to set you up for success. Some associates have become managers and some managers have become associates (usually after having children). It is fun helping out customers to find the perfect bag or a bunch of bags to take home or a special gift. Many competitions to motivate you. Good benefits.

    Cons

Not much opportunity to move up if you do not work many hours. Some customers are very "high-brow," and are easy to anger because they love Coach so much and their bags. Drama on the sales floor with some employees who bring personal life to work (don't date co-workers even though it is very tempting; trust me it does not work out if things go bad). Closing is meticulous and very tedious. Inventory is even more tedious, but this is good for those who do not want to deal with customers.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Keep being very professional, setting sellers up for success and being really cool. Have more monthly meetings they are fun and one can learn a lot. Let more people take the lead and build more leadership skills. Let associates know what it takes to become a manager.

I have been working at Coach full-time (more than 3 years)

    Pros

Many incentives for Management and even associates. It is usually a very busy store so there is always plenty to do. There are also plenty of coworkers to share the work load but I can definitely be as fun as it is challenging.

    Cons

Depending on the store, some management may not be the most understanding or knowledgable. It is a business at the end of the day but it can go a long way to acknowledge and reward consistently hard workers. It can get overlooked at times and can lead to frustrated coworkers.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Continue to offer incentives to the employees and create new initiatives to improve and develop management teams.

The customers are treated well, so it's rare to have to deal with unhappy people

    Cons
