    Pros

Pros: Great work/life balance. Very few top notch technology companies have this culture. It’s the opposite end of what you’ll get at Microsoft or Amazon.
Team Work Environment. It’s not a territorial culture, most of the time. Yeah, you might get a few exceptions but by large, it’s a very collaborative environment. People are willing share and are approachable.
Deep pockets and stable with ADP. May have still a bit of the start-up culture (no, we didn’t keep the Beer 30 on Friday, it’s now Cheer 30) with some lack of processes but in general, it’s a very stable company. Stock price has gone 50-75% since the ADP acquisition.

    Cons

Cons: The company needs to better market itself, its products and be more aggressive in the industry.

    Pros

This is the one company you can start your career and listen to this ... end your career with. Sounds weird if you are a young person who wants to make an impact in the world, right? Well, listen up. Your career is a 40 year lifespan and there can be no greater impact than to care for you and your family consistently and honorably. The kicker is you have to love what you do so you can make a contribution. This is the one place where you can do that. We are just on the horizon of what is possible, so why not join a company that wants to take the journey with you?

    Cons

Look, there are cons wherever you work. This is a fast moving industry so you're going to run into obstacles no matter what. How you deal with them is about your attitude. There are Negative Nelly's in any organization and we have them too, but the good news is they are few.

    Pros

They foster a creative workplace and support "outside of the box" thinking. They compensate us very well compared to other similar corporations. They consistently display a serious concern for our work/life balance. They encourage us to take time off to spend with our families. They provide tremendous resources that allow us to do our jobs at a high level.

    Cons

Many of us are remote employees, and with a large company, that can frequently feel very isolating.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Keep up the supportive environment. Continue to develop innovative tools we can use to enhance personal and client success.

    Pros

The people are amazing, management "gets it," and the culture inspires ideas and a healthy work encironment

    Cons

Can't think of any...the weather in Seattle? EVERYONE (inlcuding the CEO) works out of cubes which can take a little getting used to, but at lease we're all in the same boat.

Team-oriented atmosphere, Well supported by Management, Great employee programs to keep morale high while meeting deadlines.

    Cons

You work with lots of talented people, getting recognition can be tough. A little more cross departmental teaming would help with understanding each other's roles better.

I have been working at Cobalt full-time (more than 5 years)

    Pros

Nothing is good or bad until you can compare it to something else. Having been a part of a number of mergers and acquisitions, I've been pleasantly surprised by this organization and am always impressed by their creativity, focus on growth and innovation, integrity and core values. The leadership embraces values that are easy to rally behind and genuinely support.

    Cons

As a large organization, there is allot of activity and many strong performers. Embrace the diversity and talent and you'll grow but it's not a good environment for the timid or those lacking drive.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Continue good communication of expectations, vision and values...live the example you wish all others to follow and keep creating an atmosphere where people can succeed and grow.

I have been working at Cobalt full-time (more than 8 years)

    Pros

There are many good, smart, and talented people here who really seem to care about what they do and are fun to work with. Focus is on getting things done vs. politicking. Every individual has an opportunity to make an impact and career growth opportunities are there for those who work hard and reach for their goals. The company still has a start-up feel despite the ADP acquisition. The office and location is great and the benefits are solid.

    Cons

Change is a constant, so those who like a steady state should look elsewhere. Self-starters will be most successful here.
