    Worst company to work with

SOA Contractor (Former Employee) Herndon, VA

Prosgot a little bit of experience

ConsPathetic managers - bad desi mentality ... worst experience of my life, 4 managers were asking me the status of the work and one manager was requesting me not to communicate the actual status to the other manager.

One Architect came from New Jersey , calling him self SOA Architect but he dont know the basics and I was ashamed of my self working with him in the project. One manager who was working all the time remote was a good technical person but with 0 people skills, I lead the whole project and won a new contract for the Cognizant for the same client, and once they have put 4 more resources, they cut me from the project. Shame on this company management. I hate to work for this company again

Dont join if you growth and green card

Senior Associate (Current Employee) Newark, NJ

    ProsEmployee friendly HR policies
Large number of projects. No issue in getting work.

    ConsFalse promises by management.
False promises by HR about GC processing.
    Employee harassment.
No scope of growth if you are not a tamil guy.
Compensation is least in the market.

Advice to Senior ManagementPlease keep a check on the low level management and the kind of practices which are being followed to appease the client. This wont take this company any far.

    Awful. Just terribly plain Awful!

Very Senior (Current Employee) Helena, MT

    ProsNone! None! None! None! None!

ConsAll! Worst Company ever in North America! If you're not from Chennai, you have no chance for advancement unless you already came in as a VP!

No, I would not recommend this company to a friend – I'm not optimistic about the outlook for this company

    Ethically Challenged

Senior Consultant (Former Employee) New York, NY

ProsCan work remotely, pay is very competitive.

ConsColleagues are out for themselves, people will lie to your face - it is all about the money. You cannot trust people you work with, management can be abusive.

Advice to Senior ManagementNot sure if you know or care, but you are burning through quality people at an extremely high rate. You may want to re-evaluate your culture -what is acceptable and what is not.

    Great ... Then Horrible...

    Software Testing Analyst (Former Employee)

    Pros- Reasonable pay.
    - First Month is nice at a free hotel.
    - Fly you out to a new place.
    - Hiring process is the only good thing I would say.

Cons- Don't promote based on value added - consider time at company more.
    - From campus training, it is great. Mix of culture and people. Then when you actually arrive at an account your co-workers will most likely be 99.9% straight from India. There will be culture shock.
    - No room for growth at some accounts.
    - You will be treated like a contractor.
    - Some useless trainings and sessions are given to fill time.
    - Some useless meetings.
    - Corporate cog.
    - Sometimes I felt discriminated against.

Advice to Senior Management- Make sure to give incentives to people who obviously add more value to the company.

    Worst company to work for

Associate - Projects (Current Employee) Chicago, IL

ProsNone. This is one of the worst companies to work with. The only reason employees stick with this company is because they file greencard.

ConsPeople suck. No one helps you, you are on your own.

    "Extremely Gender Biased"

    Anonymous Employee (Current Employee)

ProsHas most US visibility of all of the Indian IT Companies

ConsExtreme Gender Bias against women. Sr Management is mostly comprised of Indian Males who embedded in Traditional Indian Culture.

Advice to Senior ManagementDiversify! Hire more Americans//Women into Management positions. This will help to transition from the traditional Indian male dominating culture and benefit the company over all.

    Going the Infosys way

    Associate Director (Current Employee)

ProsDynamic leadership, company has done well financially in spite of itself.

ConsToo much of internal politics based on regions (India) and old timers vs new. No career path, HR is namesake and incompetent. No one cares about employees and work-life balance is non-existent if you want to be in good books. Old timers hold the roost and difficult for any lateral to make any mark.

Advice to Senior ManagementLeadership more outward focused than on employees welfare - may work for short time but in the long run creating the same company that Infosys was 10 years back and then it went bust. Your asset is your people, if you don't care about them, you have nothing as your core-competency.
