Pros – Very good work environment back in 2004 but now it is getting more competitive and somewhat ugly. Learning curve is pretty good here. Academy rocks in terms of offering industry specific trainings and certifications.
Cons – Expectations to work long hours (although not necessary); Performance appraisal is not as robust as the HR claims...the bell-curve obviously matters. HR is not very helpful in addressing questions or issues. Not much in terms of mentoring.

Pros – Cognizant has benefits and a lot of work. It is easy for new grad developers to get a lot of experience.
Cons – All new grads get the same salary regardless of the major. As a developer I feel underpaid and under appreciated. Maybe it could be this account.
