Diabolical benefits and treatment of employees. Pretending to be a consultancy when it's not.

    Pros

Good exposure to the IT sector.

    Cons

If you apply to their Business Consultancy arm - be under no illusion, they are anything but. You will be expected to go for interviews for roles at the clients (often against contractors - because that's pretty much what you'll be doing). Once you're in and earning the fees. Don't expect any further support like a consultancy would be.

Benefits is disgraceful. They waited until the last minute before taking part in the employer contribution of pensions (and had the cheek to tell us that they have chosen to avail of this right to defer). 20 days holiday (yes, 20). No computer assigned (you have to fight for the 1-2 available PC on the hotdesk if you're on the bench), no mobile phone (expected to put your PERSONAL mobile number on business card - what?!).

The majority of the UK office is staffed by offshore staff, and it shows in their reputation as a stack em high, sell em cheap "consultancy". You'll be seen by your clients as an offshore IT staff, rather than a member of a management consultancy they are pretending to be (and obviously failing miserably).

    Advice to Management

Be honest, if you want to establish yourself as a credible UK Management Consultancy - act accordingly! Stop bodyshopping. Don't make the UK staff feel like they're working in India and remunerate them accordingly.

    Pros

Unfortunatley after a year of working for them, I could not provide pros

    Cons

Anything that they can do to wriggle out of terms of contracts will be done, not matter how low, including try to push Indian employeee law, although I am a UK employee ie only allowing 15 days holiday, not respecting English public holidays etc Senior Management failed delivery on 3 separate programme.

    Pros

None that I can think of. A huge organisation and probably good if you join near the top but minimal contact between juniors and seniors, so not sure.

    Cons

Little or no career progression for corporate functions and minimal financial incentives. Looks after the senior management but other actual workers are farmed out and left to make the company money.

    Advice to Management

Support your support staff and give them a chance to progress and make improvements to what are obviously very broken systems.

    Pros

Fast growing company and will hopefully continue growth over the next 6 months

    Cons

No work life balance, one person is expected to do 2 person's job. No respect for the work that you do. It's only about profitability even if it comes at the cost of over burdening their own people with work.

    Advice to Management

Need to look at some investment into the accounts and looking at long term growth rather than short term profit. Don't kill your people with 12-13 hours of work each day. Reduce levels of approvals required, the organisation works like a govt. hierarchy with no empowerment to its middle managers.

    Cons

Subjected to Snr Management shouting at you when they wanted something done
Being undermined at meetings and infront of your staff
No transparency around year end reviews or setting objectives
    MASSIVE blame culture

    Advice to Management

Take a good hard look at the culture of the organisation
