    Excellent organisation to work for

    Manager - Projects (Current Employee)

ProsPerformance based growth, travel opportunities, good management. Overall Cognizant is a good organisation where performance matters. Personally I am happy to be part of this organisation for the last 9 plus years.

ConsNothing much, but many areas to improve though. Performance management has improved a lot which needed changes earlier. Back in offshore, travel to office is a big problem with offices located far off from the city.

Good company to start and build a career

    Anonymous Employee (Current Employee)

Pros- good to set up initial base
    - perfect place if you are in right team and with right manager

Cons- nothing much, if you are with bad manager you are screwed.
    - most of the promotions are based on seniority and for near and dear ones. Only a few are merit based

Advice to Senior ManagementClean up the middle management mess. If somebody doesn't perform start from manager rather than individual.
