    Pros

    This place is horrible from start to finish. Do not put yourself through it. Sometimes it's about the path you don't take. Avoid this one.

    Cons

    Unrealistic expectations. Senior Management talk down to everyone. Zero work life balance, the company wants you to give up your life for them. They do not care one bit and have a disastrous retention rate as a result.

    Advice to Management

    Learn to walk the talk.

    Pros

    Didn't have to pay for uniforms lol

    Cons

    It was like playing a game of football where you were only allowed to defend

    Advice to Management

    Stop promoting people who will get results at any cost

    Pros

    there are no clear reasons to work for them, unless you enjoy poor conditions, poor pay and a bad work environment, steer clear of them as an employee especially as a middle manager

    Cons

    punitive time clock practices, poor ohs, pressure to work undesired shifts, overworking of staff general inefficiency, bad management skills, overworked middle management, no opportunities for progression.

    Advice to Management

    Increase OHS compliance, allow unions on site, increase pay, hire more staff and managers, reduce expectation of staff to work when sick and at undesirable times.

    I have been working at Coles Group as a contractor (More than a year)

    Pros

    Good customers and team members, staff discount.

    Cons

    Do not go on salary. They think that means work 24/7, change shifts all the time and not pay you for public holidays. Make you work on day off when public holiday falls. Values and behaviours are only there to discipline team members and not adhered to by management. Old style dictatorship style of management. Work life balance does not exist. Injury is a real risk.

    Advice to Management

    Invest in your people at store level. Having a people meetings at regional manager and above level and not having active outcomes is useless. Adhere to your own policies and values and behaviours.

    Pros

    Some people within Coles are great to work with but some are just 'yes' men.

    Cons

    Totally unrealistic projects and timelines

    stop micro managing everything

    Pros

    Team member discounts and all items are available.

    Cons

    Stress, poor wages, long working hours, only results expected and just verbal support is supplied. Top management policies and decisions are made on assumptions that every team member is equally productive which is not true in practice which screws the good workers and drops their morale.

    Advice to Management

    Learn to earn people rather than running after money only.

    Very few, a big player in the local retail market so something to offer re experience

    Cons

    Politics, infighting, poor leadership, diabolical teamwork

    Advice to Management

    Start working as a team ,apply some values e.g. honesty, teamwork, trust, transparency
