    Enjoyable, at times frustrating but its been worth the effort and hours put in so far!

    ProsNetworking, the hundreds of awesome people you meet, opportunities to progress your career IF you want it! On going support from management but you should be quiet about it.

    ConsYoull have to ask for career opportunities, sometimes there is a lack of recognition, not enough communication between management and lower level staff.

    Advice to Senior ManagementStore managers/ store support and 2IC should take more of an effort to get to know those that are working for them!! Id love to see a happier attitude towards basic field work amongst management

    Company culture is good and supportive.

    ConsNot very flexible with you taking leave.
    Company politics exist, and can dictate whether or not you are granted certain shifts in shift work.

    Operators need to be able to take their breaks without being pressured to work throughout them.

    ProsColes as an overall company believes in it's workers, provides great pay and allows for leadership opportunities. Employees were provided flexible working hours.

    ConsA lot of casuals means a lot of unreliability from other staff caused issues beyond supervisor's control but the supervisor was always at fault.

    Advice to Senior ManagementAppreciate staff when they stay back and award them for putting in extra work when required.

    ConsOvertime is expected to progress past entry-level. Most Dry Goods Managers worked 60-70 hours a week which resulted in less per hour than entry level.
    Dealing with unpleasant or demanding customers.
