    Customer Development Intern

Customer Development Intern (Current Employee) Minneapolis, MN

ProsGreat office culture, very clear expectations of my role and got to work on multiple projects. I felt very valued as an intern

ConsNo real cons I can think of, perhaps that I felt a little distant from what was going on in the corporate office in NY but my role was almost entirely involved with the Target Branch so it didn't really bother me

Good place to work with great benefits and longevity

    Analyst (Current Employee) Smyrna, GA

ProsIf you have a 4 year degree and are interested in moving up the food chain, this is a great company to work for.

ConsLocal management shows little or no interest in employees unless you are one of their pets. A 4 year degree is required for any position.

Solid general management training and development

Brand Manager (Current Employee) New York, NY

ProsA formal educational training program ideal for career switchers looking to shift from an individual contributor-type role pre-MBA to a general management, team leadership role post-MBA.

ConsPay is average for the industry, which means low for NYC. A BM salary in Cincinnati goes a lot further than in NYC. The culture is also very specific and not for everyone: tons of presentations, meetings, alignment, consensus building. If you like to make fast, sweeping decisions, this is not the place to do so.

Advice to Senior ManagementContinue delivering strong, steady financial results, but do keep am open mind for new ideas. Colgate hits tons of nice hits, but fewer big grand slams. You need some grand slams to be desirable and credible in this industry.

    Diverse place to work

Business Process Analyst (Current Employee) New York, NY

ProsThey company has a diversity of backgrounds and ethnicities. The benefits and pay are comparable if not better than other companies.

ConsLike most companies the heirarchy is prominent. To get promoted it seems you have to be in the 'IN' crowd. Many people stay at the company for a long time which is good but it makes it difficult for newcomers.

Advice to Senior ManagementNeed better career path roads and the ability to step outside your current role and try something different.
